Anyone ski or snowmobile around Cantwell area?

Going back to the Denali area this coming summer. Thinking about going early and doing some spring skiing.

If you ski or snowmobile the area regularly or know anyone please hit me up. I saw lots of tracks last May and was kicking myself for not bringing gear last year.

If you have a sled I would pay for gas, booze, and other supplies for rides to the top of some mountains. Any information or critisim is welcomed.

You end up making it out there? Buddy of mine has started talking about Cantwell as a good early season sled zone, thinks maybe we could find some skiing too. Would love to hear from somebody in the area.

I was up there for the summer but 4 weeks before I went out I hurt my MCL and ended up not bringing any ski gear.

Decided on not spending the winter in Alaska.

There is a lot of possibility for skiing in that area. I've seen ski tracks on Carlo peak and I've heard of good skiing right off the Denali hwy. Edmonds creek on the hwy looks promising from what maps are showing me but I've never been there to confirm. The Clearwater mountains by the Susitna river could have some possibilities too.

I would get in contact with the Susitna Lodge. All the snowmobile traffic on Denali hwy goes by them. They probably know the best spots out there for pre-season stuff.
