Anyone ride at PowDerHorn ski area near grand junction?

i think i know who ^^^ you are. you went to fruita 8/9 last year huh? but ya i ski PH more all mtn. but this year i wanna get beast at rails so ill be in the park more.

im not sure how to explain myself haha. but ask hannah or jenna or sarah or james or even greg they know who i am. and when is the ski swap?

my boyfriend grew up skiing there, but now he's in summit.

he took me back there last winter, i must say i was surprised. there was a lot of really fun stuff to hike around.

according to the blog the park is going to be moved to a new place and will be spread out all over the mountain so you can actually take laps! maybe even a jump line! im soo excited.

yeahI jump line is really neededbut if the park is spread all over the mountain I don't think I would be that happy

ya a jump line would be sick. they should make the terrain park one whole run from the top so you could just do lap after lap in there. ya if they put random stuff allover the mountain that wouldnt be that cool

well it'd be better somewhere else on the mtn. but it would really suck having to ride all the way up the 20 minute lift to just take a lap in the park. i hate that lift so much....

ya but it feels faster because it never stops when ive been on it. when you go on a weekday when noones there the quad is def a better lift.

20min park laps would be such a pain so heres what I was thinking.
Have the park start just after the entrance to Kiddy-KegAlong the right side (along the trees that are the border between Kiddy-Keg and Peacemaker) put a Jump Line in (Maybe just two jumps, like a 25ft and 35ft). Then the park could branch off on Greenhorn as well as continue on to where it normally starts. On Greenhorn they could have a flow segment of rails (like 2 lines of 2 rails) before it hooks back up with the main park. The other side of the park could also have a few rails but it would mostly just be a runway for like a 50ft kicker set up on that one knoll. The bottom of the park could just have more rails.Just an idea cause shorter park laps are needed as well as a jump line. The only solution I could think of.

ummm that would be cool^. they had a set up similar but after the two jumps it just continued as a run. i just got sick of the 3 boxes and 3 rails they had. it needs more variety. maybe a barrel bonk, a wallride, some more rails and boxes, fun linking rails and a nice flow would be nice. at steamboat they had a little jump line on runs that got a little boring at the end so i was thinking a little kicker line on the end of maverick would be pretty sick that kept going then linked into the last half of the rail section at the main park.

i hope soon they got that gay forest shit they gotta go through. they could open this weekend if they wanted to.

thats not what I heardI am pretty sure that powderhorn just has a contract with the forest serviceThe forest service definitively doesn't get the profits (or losses) from the resort (Atleast I Think)

haha i know they got raped with snow. 21 inches to be exact. the crazy thing is are mtn. is looking better than keystone and copper. we better open earlier.

allright. if you do tell me what the condish was. i was going to go this saturday but i gotta go to south carolina so i gotta wait till november 14 to ski.

sick dude. they are thinking about making the terrain park bigger and better so its a good year to move back!

Well the conditions were greatThere was two feet of fresh but a lot of it melted when we were up thereIt was so hot.We ended up finding one of those black sewer tubes (with the bumps) and made a sick ol down rail.

yeah dudeits stashed behind the park crew hut (the little hut that is by the trees next to the fourty footer)Its really niceThe snow was getting melted kind've fastAre you going up next weekend
