Anyone ridden the El Reys yet???

All I've been able to find on the web is this post from footloose sports:

Armada El Rey - 2007-09-03 A

surprise winner in our ski tests last spring- the new El Rey twin-tip

may have the best price to performance ratio of any of the 07-08 skis.

It’s versatility, ease of use, and overall performance compare to much

more expensive skis. Armada may have been influenced by K2’s success

selling the Public Enemy park ski as a stealth all-mountain for

performance skiers on a budget, which we have to admit is a welcome

trend.

The El Rey is what you’d expect from a twin-tip built by a company with

a definite freestyle and park orientation- light, forgiving, with an

easy and bouncy flex. What surprised us was it’s solid feel, stability,

and predictability- not what you expect from the category or the price

point. The El Rey tracked well on bumpy hardpack, had good edgehold yet

easy skid-ability, and kept cool at speed. Also surprising- this ski

doesn’t have that short tip/long tail feel that plagues many twin-tip,

which suggests that it will work better in soft snow than the others.

At the price point, compare to the K2 PE and Line Anthem, but the El

Rey matches up well with any other park-capable twin on the market.

IMO, it sounds like an awesome ski. It's definitely geared to the not so serious and beginner park skiers, which is kind of a good thing. I'm not that great at park, but definitely trying to get better so this ski seems like it would be a perfect fit. Even though it's a price point ski, I have a feeling that Armada didn't make this ski a piece of shit, and that it could potentially be one of the breakout skis of the year.

If TJ was riding them at the Feestyle.ch, then they can't be that bad. He's even said it's his favorite Armada ski if he's not hitting 100 foot jumps in the park.

i was really suprised when i demoed it last year was realy stable and light weight this ski will do well this year i reckon

id say they are one of the stiffer skis of armadas line up this year. they are still pretty light. ive only played with them in the stores, but its a good concept from armada. it hardly competes with the prices range of the ivander though.

yea like someone said, price point ski " ", but its armada so im sure its gonna ski well, and my friend that works in the ski shop said it skied pretty

The el rays are pretty dope for a capped ski, they've got a bigger turning radius and more cut than all the other park and mountain skis in armada's line up and are really quick edge to edge, and they hold up on 80 ft jumps.

invaders quality tho is nothing compared to armada imo invaders are noodles im wicked light and i shat on invaders this yr like the edge ripped out and the top sheet got destroyed and stuff thankfully i got warrantied even though they were sick skis they didnt hold up very well
