I just got done with some book called twilight, i rly didnt want to read it but my friends sis made me a bet i couldnt read it in 5 days. so i just got done with it(today is day 3) and it wasnt half bad

what are these "books" you speak of?
har har har j/k
last book i read was into the wild. cliche as hell at the time but it was pretty descent.

I don't read all through the school year, and now that its summer I read a lot, especially in the mornings.

Atlantis Found

The Messenger

Killer Instinct

All of them are thriller/adventure-type books. I like them because reading them is like watching a movie in my head. I've read the last two and the first half of Atlantis Found in the first week or so of summer...not too bad, haha

I finally finished "On the Road."

It took me four years. I started reading it as a sophomore in college and put it down after Sal and Dean had crossed the country twice. I picked it back up again this year. I'm amazed at how ones perspective of a book can change over time. When I was in college and had the "go get 'em" attitude, I wanted to cross the country like Moriarty or McCandless. Now I've got a real job and thought Dean was just shirking his responsiblities by leaving his children with his two wives and driving to Mexico.

I think I need to get back to that "go get 'em" attitude.

^^ i actually read 1984 myself recently. so good. the ending is kind of depressing, but you kind of know that's where its going.

i recently finished "catch a fire" a bob marley biography, which was amazing. tells bob's whole story, but also gives you alot of background on jamaican history, rastafarianism, and the progression from ska to rocksteady to straight up reggae.

i tried to read "Eragon" but just couldn't do it.

to the person who read "on the road," if you enjoyed that, i would highly reccomend "big sur" "dharma bums" and/ 0r "desolation angels," all really kick ass kerouac books

not to be gay or anything but i Read "running with scisscors" and i must say it was one of the most insane story lines e verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

just finished that too, liked the movie better because i felt it portrayed him the best. nonetheless a great story i thought

I am reading the new David Sedaris book right now and Its hilarious just like all his others. I recommend it for sure.

I absolutely hated that book. I got the message pretty early on in the book and the ending didn't suprise me; it just wasn't my style.

I just picked up Lewis Carrol: The Complete Illustrated Works.

It's sooo rad. It has all his stories, with the original illustrations that were picked by Carrol himself.

ok, thats understandable

those seem like petty reasons to hate an outstanding piece of literature but i will leave that to you

Im probably the only person who really didnt like 1984. It just seemed like another one of those dystopian novels that all end the same. Some books I have jsut read that I really enjoyed are The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut and Hammer of the Gods. Hammer of the Gods is the biography of Led Zeppelin and it was great.

THE ALCHEMIST

such a good book and it isnt too long. in a sense its about achieving your dreams. such a good book just finished it i really recomend it. and to convince you furthermore it is tanner halls favorite book !!!!!!!

ive been reading the fountainhead for a while. suchhhhh a slow read for me but quite enjoyable nonetheless

slaughterhouse five. quality read. read it a couple years back tho.

Anyone read In Cold Blood by Capote? definitely worth the read.

Fans of his should read Apocalypse in Retrospect, it came out a while ago. It's an anthology of his short war stories. And A Man Without A Country is like a memoir and also really good.

Reading Big Sur by Kerouac now.

If anyone is into the environment and how humans have and will effect it i highly suggest The World Without Us by Alan Weisman. I also just finished Sedaris's newest book and I would highly recommend it.

I was in Costa Rica and got horribly sick for a couple days in a hotel. In the hotels give a book take a book bin I randomly picked up one of the few English books there and started reading it.... and didn't stop until it was finished. It was called The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls and it was seriously one of the best books I've ever read. It's only a couple hundred pages but I would definitely check it out.

i read East of Eden by Steinbeck and loved it. it's a longer book but absolutely compelling from start to finish. i also read Gates of Fire. this book is sooooo good. if you want a really good fictional story of thermopolae (the battle that 300 was based on) go and check it out right NOW.
