trying to find more people that are going to be in wanaka this winter to make plans for a sweet place to stay. 2 people can only get a small flat, but 3/4/5 means getting a sweet house full of skiers/snowboarders. if anyone is planning on going for the season (late may/early june until late sept/early oct) send me a message.

ive posted this in a number of areas on ns to try get a lot of people to see it

Im from Scotland and def headin down to wanak this summer. Hit me up if youre gettin shit together! I need a place to stay!!

I'm looking at going over the uni holidays for about a month, late June until early August.

If anyone is looking for places to stay in wanaka for 3-4 months PM me or ryan.c and we might be able to help.

PM with your plans/background etc.

Where are you guys gonna be skiing? Cardrona? I read that Snowpark isnt gonna be selling season passes this winter which would suck big time, anyone got any info on getting passes for Snowpark, like would you have to buy day passes or week passes or what??

Snowpark is selling season pass tickets this year. Check out www.snowparknz.com for the new prices. It will be way less crowded this year as the resort is not hosting as many events as in past years, which will all be over at Cardrona this year. Snowpark is going to be legit this year.

We both have cardrona season passes yes.

If you buy before the 30th its half price so only $685 NZ or around $400US,

I think Snowpark are doing passes now but are around $800-900.

I think we will ski a few other resorts, TC when it snows and hit up snowpark for kicks.

I am not. But quite a few Rossland'ers are making their way down there for the summer.

yea, so this post is pointless, sorry.

Wanaka is the bomb, done a few seasons over there already. Trying to make it out there for late July/Aug, might have already found a place to crash but would be down to have a back up plan just in case.

It depends where you are from, most of the ski hills require you to have a visa I believe. They don't normally sponser your visa unless you are an experianced ski instructor/patroller. Your best bet is to try and get a cash in hand job in either Wanaka or Queenstown which is much bigger and will probably have more cash jobs, bar work etc.

I prefer Wanaka to Queenstown because Treble Cone and Snow Park are closer to get to but QT has got some pretty good ski hills close by.

Just wondering if anyone thats going to be in Wanaka late July-Aug wants to go in on buying a car to get up to the hill everyday, I've had friends in the past that have done this and picked one up really cheap from Christchurch. Anyway PM me if interested

you can stay in New Zealand for 6 months without a visa but then your probably not going to be able to find a job unless cash in hand. Best bet save up some $ before you go and just have a blast.

Im from the UK and have my visa sorted out. Applied online and was approved about 2 weeks later.

Got a 12 month working holiday visa so i can work most places i think.

I was really asking what are the best jobs to get and how easy they are to find. Im a waiter in the Uk, would it be pretty easy to find a similar job in wanaka u think? I arrive on the 22nd May so i guessing it should be quite easy to get a job right?

Btw i paid £640 for a return flight heathrow/christchurch with british airways.

Im a british citizen and they still told me i needed a visa. They got a weird system though. You need to apply for a visa (pay for it) and get an IRD number (NZ social securtiy number) before you can even apply for a job. Bit gutting really cause I was dead keen to work at snowpark this year. I even got a couple mates who work there every season keen to hook me up but it just fell apart.

Anybody need a room mate for 4-6 weeks sometime between july and early september?
