Anyone own a hedgehog?

Domesticated of course but I'm seriously interested in buying one and giving it the care and attention it needs. I need some input tho

 
i really want a hedgehog. They're so awesome. They're like. Hey! Im a hedgehog, and if you come any closer ill stab you.
 
i look with distain at hampsters, hedgehogs, mice, etc. get a rat.

they're super cute, really smart, and amazingly social.
 
I am unfortunatly allergic to cats and dogs, I would like a small critter to play with though and those things are cute as hell. Threads for interest.
 
my buddy used to own one and the petstore ran out of food and stopped ordering it told him to buy cat food and it died...

my friends own a hedgehog and it's terribly afraid of anyone and everyone. all it does is curl up and hide. something must have happened to it before they bought it.
 
My brother does, it's a pretty awesome little pet and it has a small litter box where it pisses and shits so cleaning is really easy.

I have not owned one, but had a friend who did. Hedgehogs are nocturnal. During the day they do nothing other than sleep. At night they move around and can keep you up. They are a terrible pet, showing no emotions or attachment. You cannot play with them or interact with them. Essentially they are a fish that happens to not live in the water. I would recommend against a hedgehog.

^ This is my boyfriend, we're also thinking about getting a hedgehog. Apparently you have to keep their living space 75 degrees F or something around there.
 
So I have learned that I should keep the hedgie at around 70 degrees fahrenheit and I should feed it the appropriate food so it doesnt die. Also I learned cats are kewl and apparently are better then hedgehogs?
 
I just got a hedgehog today. He sniffed a alot and would ball up at first, but really quickly he warmed up and is super active now.456875.jpeg

 
Thinking of getting one. I don't give a fuck if it's antisocial, chicks will love it and they look dope as fuck.
