Anyone Know Where to Get Brake Springs for Pivot Bindings?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. The brake itself is fine but the spring that pushes the brakes down is busted. Anyone know if it's possible to just get the spring rather than a whole brake replacement? Was gonna call a few shops to see but figured I'd ask here.

Nope these are not sold separately and cannot be acquired. Best bet would be to go through some shop's binding graveyard and take a broken turntable assembly. It's pretty intensive to fully take apart the turntable, but I wish you luck!

Ah, gotcha, thanks for the heads up. Really appreciate it!

I have them too. It’s not intensive at all to take apart a pivot. That’s how we used to bend the brakes for wide skis when pivots only came on word cup race skis.

It’s a little cunty to get the spring back in. A bench vise is fairly essential. It may take several attempts to tap it back into place. I use a huge flat tip screwdriver as a punch. Sometimes I tape the tip to make it more blunt and less likely to slip off the spring. Have your safety squints on so it doesn't come shooting out at your eyes.

Yeah those springs are a hassle. But not the end of the world, just a little tough to get back in. TGR's pivot parts thread is a great resource if you need any more parts in the future.
