Anyone know what is the deal at montage

i hyeard that were bought buy a private group snow mountain llc. (thay were owned buy the county there for a while) does anybody know what plans the new company has as far as the freeride scene goes?
 
Sno Mountain, is hiring Planet Snow to design the park. The park will be about 300 feet wide. New 13ft pipe. New groomers, a bunch of new rail made by Planet Snow. Plan for 65+ jump on www.Snomtn.com. Under the terrain park page most of the stuff they say they will have they wont. Because those are all the old rails, and they are throwing every rail they had away. On other note, 193 new Snow guns before this season starts. Next year 3 new top to bottom trails, and a top to bottom high speed quad.
 
whats the story with them? they haven't actually settled on the property yet. If they don't own the property, it is very ballsy of them to buy snow guns without actually owning the property date. They say they are paying cash but there still has to be a settlement date. No one pays cash for anything nowadays.....

I really do wish you the best of luck montage.

My read on that whole deal is that it is shady at best. I want to be wrong, really wrong.
 
Kinda hard to dig onces the ground freezes up... I'm giving that like 15 to 20 days. See Papas post for more info. I've never been to Montage, but I've loosely followed the developments, and it ain't lookin' good here at the end of October.
 
Oh its done... i was at a meeting a couple weeks ago, they already hired the guy there.... and hes from oregon i believe? dont quote me on that. but he did alot of things. they are also getting small half pipe 14' i think he said. im not sure if this is all going to work out but theyre deff trying this year.

i hear rumor that they already started construction taking down the trees from mainline to spike(where the park was last year) to get ready for their "huge park"
 
Kristie I was talking to the GM the other day. Nothing has happened up there other then the carpet ripped out of the lodge. But when the sale closes within the week, he said construction like crazy up there.
 
whats the deal with them? People either seem to be stoked that they have them or they hate on them????
 
planet's stuff falls apart and is not solid at all. ask anyone who hit the planet c box at bear two years ago... or how the two c's were able to be put together to make the deadliest s box ever... which was also supposed to hook onto the rainbow box for the sketchiest most not-cleanable rail ever. andy reinforced the rainbow and its sick now, but that thing used to wiggle like crazy.
