anyone know how to build a pvc rails?

im looking to build a pvc rail, probably striaght, but preferably a kink. how should i build the supports? and how much would one cost? im pretty new at making rails, so any help is useful, thanks

PVC rails are cheap and easy to build. To attach the acctuall rail on the wood, I first used liquid nails and got it good and glued on. Then I fliped it over and put in 3 or 4 screws from the bottom. For the supports, just use something like an L brace, its just a piece of metal, bent in the shape of an L, with holes up and down, and screw it in to both pieces of wood. People at your local home depot can probably help you with planning this out.

im actually building a pvc rail right now. what i did was take this huge pvd pipe and cut about a 3 inch section out of it down the length of the whole thing so it was like a U. then i made the supports out of 2x3's sandwhiched between 5/8' plywood and i slipped the pvc pipe over the whole mess and screwed it in from the side. it worked so well and its such a beast. i'll get a picture up when the paint job is done and i get a chance.

I would lay a large plank down and bolt some pvc from one side to the flat surface of the wood. Then place posts underneath the wood, holding it up. The advantage of bolting the pipe is that you can replace the pipe when it chips, which I hear sometimes happens with pvc. Just buy one or two extra sections of pipe and when it chips, its no problem.

ive got 3 pvc rails and what i did is like what sherlocke did but i just cut it totally in half. then i put one half over a 4x4 and skrewed the skrews in diagonally but i predrilled the holes first so nothing is sticking out. it works great and i made two 10 foot rails they are incredably sweet becase when i want to try something new like 270 on i just use one but when i want to be more technicale i can make kinks and shit using cinder blocks and bricks, i suggest you do it.
