What's the ski culture like? Easy to hitch a ride? How's the partying? Hamilton to actually live in?

This sort of stuff

never lived there but hamilton seems kinda dusty. mullet capital of ontario.

but I've definitely seen some skiers around with mcmaster hoodies, and I believe they do a rail jam and maybe some trips.

Really good school, also Hamilton isnt that bad, the area around that campus is really nice. Glen Eden isn't too far, they have good rails.

I went there for a year a while back before I transferred.

They had a ski and board club while I was there. They did a few glen trips and one tremblant trip which was fun. It was mostly boarders, there was one other park skier at that time besides myself. I'm not sure if its still around though.

I hitched quite a few rides and provided some myself during that season to blue and glen.

The social life is on par with every other university (good). Hamilton itself isn't bad, there are ALOT of students like yourself. As long as you live around campus, its fine.

Yeah, no idea about ski life, but Hamilton is less expensive than Toronto, which is a plus. I have a bunch of friends in my dept. that actually commute from Hamilton. Has a decent music scene - people will stop through on their way to Toronto some times, but it's not as good as Toronto. Mac is a very good school - and like most universities there's decent student partying. I've been in the summer with some friends and we skateboarded downtown, and we didn't get hassled at all. Literally right out front of city hall.

One time i was driving my roommate to mcmaster, and i saw a big truck with a saga sticker. that is all i know about mcmaster
