Anyone know anything about classical music?

So I was in the movie theater, and there was some classical music playing over the PA or whatever, and it sounded really cool. My dad thinks it was that cd done a while ago where they did all the Bach stuff on a synthesizer, but I just listened to a bunch of samples from it, and thats definitely not what it was. It reminded me of this song that this dude who was somehow related to an actor on Growing Pains did a while back. The one thing I really remember is that the strings were really intense. If anyone could help out with this, that would be fantastic.

damn, I know a bit of classical, and the hints you gave wouldn't even help Mozart himself know what piece your talking about.

Any more info?

He's not likely to know what this means...

Unless you can describe it and know the composer you're probably not going to find it except by fluke.

hmm, okay skipunk, on the spectrum of age, did it sound really old and "churcy" or was it more like John Williams

who the fuck is John Williams? I dunno, if anyone could give me examples of different periods of classical(thats probably not the right term, but Baroque and Romantic and Rennaisance-the difference between all those) that would help. also, if anyone can remember the son of the dude from growing pains. he did a song once and used a sample form some classical piece. I think.

and soundclips would help with the examples. maybe I should've paid more attention in music class.

transiberian orchestra does a bunch of the like christmas songs with a classical but like cool electric vibe. i know im probably not even on the same wavelength as tyou, but they sound really cool.

^after A Clockwork Orange so many punk bands starting playing it. So not only do old people listen to Beethoven, but punks do to.
