i remeber coming across that website by accident once and i was like what the fuck are these they look so intimidating...never heard of ne one using them..im guessing they're for like hollywood movies if you look at the "shot on RED" tab at the top

they dont look like there too good, i mean the look fucking bomb, but i found out over the years, bomb looking things are sometimes not the best, check into it bro

it seriously looks like if you push the wrong button exploding razor blades are gonna come flying out and kill you

Reds are amazing. Pretty much the next generation of cameras on the proffessional and indy camera markets. Not for your average film maker. They shoot in resolutions higher than any camera for the price. Red One capable of 4k with the 3k Scarlet up the 3k and the 5k Epic up to 5k. Epic and scarlet are due to release in 2009. RED is the manufacturer of all of the parts to the cameras. THeir RAID systems, RED Cards, and RED Drives are what the cameras shoot onto. They are also cameras that have a unique capability of shooting in RAW formats of up to 100 mbps.
I could go on for a while. Amazing professional level cameras that are just starting to possibly be purchased by ski industry companies. WOnt say who though.
The man that knows a lot more about them is Alex Horner. Im sure he will be posting on this thread :).

Red's cost so much but are so expensive. Most think this is the future of feature film cameras.

Also Red's cost so fucking much. 17,500 is just for the camera body.

Lens- 5,000 to 9,000

Battery- 1450

Charger- 550

Lcd/ veiwfinder- 1,700 to 2,500

Flash drive- 4,500

Very expensive.
