last week i lifted not to heavy but did some pretty big curls and ever since then my forearms have been killing me its not like the kind of pain from lifting but its more of a bruise, strain, bone bruise kinda pain anyone else have this before?

Mine used to hurt too. The inside part of the forearm when doing curls would kill. Happened to my friend too. I dunno what it is, maybe an underused muscle or something, but both of ours went away after a month or so. U just gotta tuf it out in the mean time. (pun intended on "mean time")

Watch the bigass buff guys lift. You'll get an idea what's proper form. It's a controlled motion. Don't involve muscles besides the ones you're supposed to use. (like throwing your back to get your dumbells up)

controlled motion for real, don't just go all balls at a huge weight or do have shitty form, shitty form won't help you no matter tha weight, an in most weight rooms, you get more respect for your form than what your shit max is

gotta drop a little weight, do more sets of less reps, or just slow down in general. and someone said work on your form, that helps to deter the strain on your arms in areas you're not supposed to be working during whatever motion you're at, curls. massage your arms a bit afterwards if / as needed and maybe some ice too bro? eat more? maybe you're too weak/small for the pace you're setting for yourself, not saying that though i dunno your situation lulz

yeah dude i was being a dumb ass last week and was too lazy to take 90 lbs. off the leg press machine at school. it was like 400 something and i decided i'd do it. as soon as i was done i could just feel my legs tighten up. the next 3 days i had trouble walking it just felt like an insane bruise in my leg. fuck it just got better like yesterday. stupiddddddddd!!!

but basically what klazo said is right.

Forearms are engaged in bicep exercises, it makes sense that they would be sore. I don't have that problem with dumbells or the french bar, but using the straight bar really bothers my wrists/forearms. The straight bar inhibits the natural rotation that occurs during curls and creates stress on the forearms and wrists. Try switching up your routine or adding forearm work.

I GOT THE SAME THING ITS ON THE INSIDE OF MY ARMS WHEN MY PALMS ARE UP. iT FEELS LIKE A SHIN SPLINT ON MY FOREARMS. iT REALLY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BAD FORM (KLAZO). I FOUND THAT CURLING WITH AN E-Z BAR HELPS ALOT. STRAIGHT BARS KILL ME. BUT THEN AGAIN IT ONLY HURTS DURING THE CURL AND WHEN I RELEASE THE WEIGHT SO YOU MIGHT BE DIFFERENT.

yeah dumbells are the way to go, i even like to use dumbells on the preacher curl every know and then...and ot the guy who said reverse bicep curls, yeah man those r a killer when u first do them, but it works greatt

it has nothing to do wtih form u fucking dumbass. If you dont lift a lot your muscles are goign to be sore after a work out IF YOU DO IT RIGHT. If your arms dont hurt then you arent lifting right. after a few weeks they will stop hurting, it should happen with every muscle u lift.

if you never lift and you overdoo it a little the first time you can be extremely sore the next day and it can last for up to a week. Everytime you start up lifting for the first time for a while or just start to get into it your going to be sore

how many times have u fucking been to the gym?

as someone who has done a lot of lifting, but is terrible at sticking with it i would know. ive probably started up lifting for a few montsh and then stopped about 5 times, sports lazyness trips etc i always end up stopping. But everytime the first week always sucks, and im always sore. Ask anyone who works out a lot.

A few months and you act like you're know everything. You haven't been lifting very long.

I've been lifting for 4 years. I'm not a meathead, I'm not trying to be. Sore is good. Pain, which is what that one guy was talking about, is bad. Pain is your body telling you that something is wrong. Like he's doing too much weight and lifting in awkward form.

Do this guy a favor and shut up. You don't know what you're talking about and giving shitty advise is gonna get him hurt.

To OP. Go to askmen.com or google and look up weight lifting. You'll find more than you'll ever want to know.

ya i had the same problem for a while, it felt like my veins or something were tearing. just watch your form like these guys are telling you. helped me out a lot

this is true, i've been told this by physiotherapists before. they werent talking about lifting weights as much as they were talking about revocery exercises, but its the same principle none the less.

ive lifted every summer for the past 4 years and then during football season the last 2, i usually just get lazy in teh winter and during the spring i cant really lift cause lacrosse doesnt have the sceduled liting like football
