Anyone here with a vegan diet?

it actually is although i've never heard it be used seriously.

if someone was going to insult you though they would probably call you a malkinson or a deeb instead.

are you trying to offend me or something? killing your own meat is way better than buying it from the grocery store IMO.

no, since this is more or less a diet thread, I'm looking to cut some fat from my diet by substituting wild board in place of pork

Tryed it but left me with no energy, turns out I have a lack of iron in my system. Tryed pills, but I just went back to meat. I try to get all my meat from hunting/ natural farms though. Factory farming is fucked, moose meat is so much better anyways.

Just want to let all the ladies know this is kinda BS. With all the prengnacy troubles my younger (like23-27 y/o) friends are having, their doctors are telling them to stop using plastics (yay!) and to start eating raw. I think eating raw vs vegan/veg are two completely different things because some vegans use fake food and tofu (which I've read is bad but idk). But with eating raw, it's all plant/fruit/nut based and you can't cook anything-just use a dehydrator. /endhippypost

To everyone else in this thread: tits.

I'm all for vegans, but I hate chicken so fuck that douchebag in his ass with a whole beef tenderloin.

I feel like he clings to increasingly annoying practices simply so he can be that much bigger of a douchebag to everyone else.

Not that I agree with Immortal Technique on much, but this is spot on.

This is a human-driven situation. A human placed milk in front of a cat.... that does not mean cats would naturally seek out milk as a food source.... this argument is voided anyways because domesticated cats are not a naturally occurring (without human intervening) species.

I do underground construction/maintenance for a living. Today, outside one of the most famous restraunts in Tahoe we had a robot find prob 400 pounds of solidified grease blocking 50% of a 40 inch sewer main. It took a rodder nozzle with 1500+psi jets 30 minutes to break off the walls. Your eating the ssource of that grease, it sticks in your veins just like that main. +1 for us vegans.

i think this is the first time ive ever agreed with you. lettuce is fucking worthless at least spinach or kale which has some good nutrients.

lettuce is not worthless. there is good shit in lettuce and it will do good things for you.

spinach is just really good for you. it's 30% protein, and a complete protein (so are kale and lettuce actually, they just have less protein and virtually no protein respectively). i'm not saying you should use spinach as your primary protein source unless you are a cow. it's just a good way to get ~10g of your protein each day.

spinach has got quite a bit of iron in it and tons of other important minerals. it's also got a really good omega 3:omega 6 ratio.

one of the best things you can do with spinach is make a green smoothie. Evidence suggests that the non-heme iron in spinach is better absorbed if taken with vitamin C. the spinach has a decent amount of vitamin C, but if you put a big handful of spinach in a fruit smoothie you can eat it with tons of vitamin C so you get lots of the iron.

you can also use the oven at low temp if you don't have a dehydrator and raw vegans can eat warm food still. I was surprised when I heard that.

tofu is ok in moderation as long as you are eating organic tofu. most foods I think the organic thing is kinda BS but the roundup ready soy is a different story and something to avoid.

you can be a veg*n and live off the "fake" processed foods and run into the same problems as an omni who eats fake processed foods. You should be eating mostly whole foods if you want to feel good. Plus It's cheaper, tastier, and not that much work.
