Anyone here ski Coffee Mill regularly?

I live in Rochester and after years of frustration with Welch, am going to buy a pass to Coffee Mill this year... it's closer, has a rope-tow park, and longer, steeper runs (fewer, but longer).

Just wondering if anyone else rides there regularly. It'd be rad to have someone to ride with occasionally.

yeah, I'd heard that most Rochester skiers were switching to Afton... I'll be skiing there midweek days occasionally... but I can't fuck with the crowds that place is about to be besieged by on the weekends... my homies have been riding there forever and say it's already a madhouse Friday night - Sunday.

you're the dude with the camo pants, right? any chance you know how to get in contact with the guy that was taking pictures at Coffee Mill's year-end railjam?

Yeah he's my buddy. I can check with him and see what photos he got of you! And yeah it'll be pandemonium there but anything's better than welch at this point

sweet, thanks man. I agree with you... welch's park on the bunny hill last year was the last fucking straw for them. total shit.

I only go to Welch twice a year, but I think it's pretty fun. I can see how after a whole season it would get old, though

haha yeah besides that. If you ignored that fact that there were no jumps it was fun, just lapping that small rail park thing

I believe you have jumps and racer start ramps confused, hahaha.

but seriously... does no one ride Coffee Mill? There were plenty of skiers at their rail jam (most of them from Welch, admittedly).

I just went there for that. Sure it's cheaper, but come on. I hate parks run by snowboarders and the runs are low in number... I just don't dig that yknow

bump - I've been having a sick season there so far... going to be out tomorrow night celebrating my 15th anniversary of skiing.

^I'm usually wearing jeans & a grey hoodie, otherwise I've got on a black coat & green pants. What days do you normally ride?

Recently I've been going a lot on sundays, but this weekend I should be going Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.I'm only 15 years old, Im in a gray coat highlighted with some red, and my snowpants are black. I have a giro nine.10 helmet and Oakley goggles (I just ordered goggles with a camera in them, so I should stick out more). My skis are Salomon Equipe 08T Racing skis and I ride the terrain park for the majority of the time. MY setup is ghetto AF, but I'm hopefully getting new skis and A nicer jacket for next season.

I'll keep an eye out for you -- it'd be nice to take a few laps with another skier, I usually ride around with the snowboarders there.

the park is okay, but I feel like all the nicest hits are scattered throughout the hill -- I wind up hitting the all the natural stuff & then stopping & fucking around on that corrugated QP usually. The natural hits are why I love Coffee Mill... it's easily the best terrain south of Duluth.

I agree, and yeah I've hung out with some snowboarders from there like twice but never any park skiers, it seems like good park skiers are like extinct here lol. But yeah I've met some pretty cool snowboarders there, a lot nicer than the people I ski with.

I'll be going Sunday for sure with some friends that have never went skiing before lol. I should be going Saturday too, might just go by myself.

Looks like someone failed their 2000-present Midwest ski history class.

According to their website they're building a new terrain park? Will there actually be jumps now? I must be behind on the news or something
