Does anyone on here row for thier school. I just started this year instead of doing football. Its a pretty sick workout and it's fun.

What are your times if you do it?
 
hey man, i row. i think a few other kids do too on this site. im a junior and my 2k is 6:42.5 (did it in feb.) and my 5k time is 18:11 i think (did that one last fall, we havent done a real erg test yet this year). where do you row?

That's a pretty sick 5k time. I just took my first ever erg test, a 6k and got 23.16. That's crazy you go to wayland weston. This is my first year on the team but from listening to the other kids, you guys are the team to beat.
 
ya i guess our team is doing pretty good latley. we just got a new coach that used to be on the olympic 8 in 88 and 92 (i think those years) so our team went from being really shitty to pretty good in like 2 years haha. Last year some people from lowell came down when you guys got flooded, and some of the kids were talking to this one kid (no idea who it is) and he was fucking halarious. but i'll probably be at most of the races this year so see ya there.

oh and to the guy that said crew is gay- its one of the hardest sports, and im pretty sure that out of all the olympic sports, Crew has the most physical fit (overall) athleats.

its a fucking cult full of elitest bitches who think their better than everyone else. a sport for the wealthy. but yea im pretty sure any college or higher football player could pound the shit out of any crewie.
 
yeah you guys are hard core rowing looks like a lot of fun tho. i heard a story about a dude that like just fricken put the hammer down and at the end of the race he died from a heart attack. that hard core props you guys
 
^ ya that guy i think went to BC or BU or something, fucking crazy shit.

and no shit a football player could beat the crap out of a rower... thats because rowers dont need those huge ass mouscles, they need endurance, so if a football player tried to row, they would get be so shitty at it, and the same the other way around.
 
I did crew for five seasons before quiting and joining running. Last 2k I did was when I was 15 and I got 7:19. My best 5k was 19:30ish. Crew's pretty sweet, just my highschool team is run by a fat megalomaniac shemale head coach.
