anyone here a film major?

who here is a film major and whats your longterm plan for making it into the film business (not restricted to shitty ass hollywood). any specialties? i myself am studying anthropology and philosophy undergrad (to better understand the world), and then i will get my masters in film school. probably producing or cinematography. anybody else as terrified as i am?

i used to go to 'real' college in upstate new york, but it cost 38g's a year so i didn't go back after my freshmen year. now i'm going to community college and am in the process of transfering back into 'real' college.

I'm starting college next year at montana state and i plan on majoring in film. I can't wait to learn all the magic about editing and whatnot

 
im studying english lit and fiction writing and will likely major in that. I already work a lot in film production working for various jobs and the fed government. For me film school isnt necessary. If you have the interest, are a good storyteller and creative thinker and have a good eye than you can usually jump in on a crew job or just offer to work for free for experience. If its something you think you are good at, just jump in, no better way to learn about film production that just making a movie.

 
im majoring in computer science (programming,etc.) and business commerce. I take summer classes in photoshop and premiere but i dont know if i would like to dive full on into the film business, its a rough one..

well me and my chick were gettin busy at her place when her parents were gone, we were in the basement so she says to go upstairs and get a condom and im naked and i obviously ran to go get it, it was dark as hell too so on my way back downstairs i missed the last 2 steps and fell flat on the ground with an boner, i was so lucky - Lateralis

talk to Jeff Thomas, one of the co-owners of Theory-3 Media. He's been going to film school in Ottawa but we are finally going to get him back out west for next year, he'll probably study at SFU. anyway.... I think his name on here is Jeffy.
