Alright so my GoPro is fucked, I contacted GoPro support, they agreed to give me a new one or try to fix it. It has been less than a year since I bought it. I'm having a lot of trouble finding my receipt in my emails/computer, do you think this is a big issue? Do they have all that on record somewhere? Basically I'm asking, if I send in my GoPro without the receipt, will they still be able to send me back a working one?

because I thought, if I send it to them and realize the receipt's not there, maybe they'll just be like k fuck it send him a new one anyway; whereas if i call them and ask, i was worried they would just be like no you cant, dont send it back then. ahahaha that doesnt really make sense ill call them

I went on a trip to Lebanon and brought it with me, just used it to take pictures of the landscape and stuff like that, nothing crazy. Halfway through the trip, the button on top stopped working. It's weird thought because every time I click it to capture a picture or video, nothing happens, but it still works when toggling through the settings options.

i think im one of the only people that has been through this experience other than u. it took me the better part of 3 months to get them to respond and that only happened after a few nasty emails. I purchased mine online from overstock.com which was my first mistake. if you purchase from a store and its less than a year old just take it back to the store. it will be easier dealing with them. i got the phone number of the Seattle go pro rep and from REI. i called him maybe 4 times and never heard back. I finally started emailing go pro hourly until i heard back. It took only a week to 10 days to receive my replacement. unfortunately through all my trouble i had lost an entire season of filming with it. I would use it in warm indoor environments and it would be fine. if it was below 40 it would either film and seem to work fine then when i would go to upload all of the files would be corrupted. or i would film and it would lock up with the red record light on, not turn off and drain the battery. the only way i could shut it off was to take it out of the case and pull the battery. they sent me a new one and it works excellent.

^i bought it from the gopro website. and i got a response from them within 24 hours every time i contacted them, they gave me my reference number and all that shit and im good to go to send it back and get a new one, only thing is this receipt dilema. i couldnt find a phone number on the website so i just contacted them through the support email or whatever, which is what i always used when contacting them, so i should be getting an answer within the next 24 hours or so.

word yeah good luck, your honestly the first broken go-pro i've ever heard about, mine survived countless high speed dirtbike crashes plus just about everything else i could throw at it

1) This is an old thread

2) It sounds like you are just promoting your company

3) Fuck You

1) who cares?

2) maybe, but if it helps others resolve their go pro problems what is wrong with it? It's in the proper thread.

3) you are an angry one.

1) I care

2) I see your point

3) I'm not truly that angry

I just dislike non/semi ski related companies advertising their services by creating a profile and commenting on 4 year threads.

Now your'e probably saying "Dragonslayer101, what about Bloom outerwear, or Saga, or even ON3P?" Well those are core companies that are ski related, unlike some guy out of the UK creating an account just to promote his electronic repair company that repairs GoPros.

I probably sound bitter and my reasoning is might be far off but I dont care
