Anyone had iPhone screen problems?

I have an old iPhone that doesn't work anymore because it got water damage and my current iPhone's screen is cracked. I was wondering if I could use the screen from my old iPhone to replace it with or do you guys think the screen on the old one is fucked from the water damage?

I know, I take great care of my iPhones

Any help is much appreciated.
 
Is the screen broken or just the glass on top? Chances are its just the glass, and the part from the water damaged one will wIll work fine There are tutorials online on how to replace the screens.
 
if the phones are of the same gen, you can definitely replace them.

youtube has a ton of tutorials and all you'll really need is a suction cup and a small screw driver, kinda like the ones that come in eye glass repair kits.
 
The touch screen isn't effected, I've still been using it for months, it's just cracked so I'm guessing it's just the glass on top.

So you think that the screen on my old iPhone with water damage should work okay?
 
Ya, usually it's just the glass that breaks, unless the glass is falling off, it should be fine. The water damage shouldn't have affected the screen in any way I can think of. The biggest problem you will have is finding a screw driver to fit the two holes on the bottom ( assuming it's iPhone 4 and up) but those can be ordered online, sometimes if you buy a new screen from a place like eBay, it will come with everything needed to change out your screen
 
this. i think i bought my kit on amazon and it was about $15 with shipping and quite easy to do if you watch the tutorial
 
one younger brother put his white i phone throught the wash and was broken, other one had a black ipone and it was shattered on the top, he brought the old screen to the mall and they guy siad it doesnt work that well and the water ususally gets under the screen, so bring it to a mall and the guy bought the watered damaged i phone for 40 bills, credit and my brother got a new screen for 40 bucks and an otter box for 20 def worth it
