Anyone going to Stowe VT this winter??

so i only know like 3 people who are skiing at Stowe this winter. i've never been there but i've heard its sick. who else is goinggg???lol
 
i've never been to Jay or Stowe. i usually go to stratton in southern vt, but im at university of vermont now and i dont feel like driving two hours to get to stratton. but yeah, i got a season pass to stowe. i'm excited
 
Ya really can't go wrong at jay or stowe or the bush for that matter.

I am making it a point to get back to stowe this year a few times. Gonna show my gf the chapel too and see what she thinks about a mountainside small wedding.
 
my girl doesn't ski, well she gives it a shot and does OK but she doesn't have the fire in her eyes yet. A big plus is she wants a small wedding ceremony so ya can't get much smaller than that.

but back on topic, Stowe rocks and I could easily spend a couple seasons exploring that place. We had a kick ass trip there a couple years ago with about ten friends and a slopeside cabin.
 
Ya I'm not real religous so I dig the fact that it's a pretty generic chapel.

Also it was like surreal, we were on that trip with friends I mentioned before and were just lost and screwing around on that side of the mountain. We came flying around the bend and wham it was right there, like nothing I've seen on a ski hill before. It was really quaint and cool.
 
You think I'd be spewing sappy shit like that on the interwebs if it wasn't a possibility. Seriously it looks like you can hold all kinds of ceremonies there if you want.

Absolutely going to make it back up to stowe a few times this season. If the snow and park is going to be anywhere close to last year, its going to be worth every penny.
 
If the off chance I stay home for ski season happens, i'll be up at Stowe, I went a few times last season, shit is sick. Otherwise ill be moving to CO
 
my sister goes to UVM and got a pass to Jay last year but is getting the stowe pass this year because that is where everyone on her floor is going. i get up there a couple times. lot gonna lie, the Spruce peak side is sick, personally i like it better than the main face
 
Wow, that is fantastic input! If I only knew that was the problem sooner.

Look man, I welcome feedback from Stowe park riders so I can try to offer the pass buyers the park they want to ride, but as they say "opinions are like assholes, everyones got one and they all stink". I think that a good amount of people here would say that I am making a good effort to ask everyones opinion, and I try to apply that to the parks. But yes , everyones opinion is different so I am asking you, what is your opinion? What kind of features do you like in a park? " Respect gets respect" I belive that, I'll listen and have used some ideas that, some liked and some didn't.

Quick update, Sm park will be back at Midway, outside the Gondi base. The Med park is still on N Slope. The Lg park will not be on Spruce, it will go back to Tyro. The 1/2 pipe will be on Lower Standard below X-over, so you can lap Lg park to pipe or N. Slope.

I don't make claims, I don't agree with SKIING mag readers poll, they put Stowe at #2. I was at Breck last March and they were like 6 or 7????? No way in my book! I will say it was nice to see Stowe mentioned.
 
ill be at stowe, im working up there part time as an instructor and hopefully ill be up there a lot but who knows. i just moved to stowe in august
 
yeah, definitely be careful. they have arrested someone for it...getting caught is very sketchy.
its pretty easy to get by sometimes and you'll get too used to it...and then one random time you'll get in trouble...and that would suck. just be careful doing that...honestly.
 
where do people around the age of 18 hang out in stowe? ive been here two months and i havent met a single person my age
 
^ Burlington? haha, sorry i dont really know, i've been skiing there for 4 years now but from b-town, which is basically the social epicenter of Vermont, most kids who live/hangout in stowe are locals and move out after high school, the 18+ crowd is mostly college students from the burlington area.
 
i think they hang out in burlington. haha i have no idea good luck tho! there will be people your age once winter picks up
 
Stowe....I went there 42 times last year and live 3 hours away

I heard they're puttin park back on Tyro to Standard/ North Slope

Is this right?
