If so, I might be joining you next year.

If you could tell me a little more about what you do/don't like about it, that'd be great too.

I do! (I never post in the forums but ran into this topic) And I'm on the ski & snowboard team.

What do you wanna know?

USC is an awesome place to be... if you're thinking of joining the team, do it! It's a lot of fun and heading to Mammoth any weekend you want (for me it's every weekend) isn't too bad either.

We can talk more if you link me your facebook.

Mah, I also should probably go into more detail.

I personally don't like LA much. I'm not too big on the city... but it's definitely an experience. There's always something going on so it's hard to be bored. Also pretty much anything you can think of whether it's a club or what not, you got it. The other thing I don't like so much is everyone's pretty standard --good looking rich kids and some average smart kids. You won't see mobs of hippies or anything like you might at other schools.

I love my classes pretty much--I'm pre-law. I dig the people as a whole. The people here work hard and play hard, and are pretty well rounded. Are you going to be a freshman?

Its surrounded by the ghetto on all sides. USC itself is a great school though, my dad graduated from there, was a scholared athlete on their tennis team.

hahaha yeah, jager is the shit

and ryan, i don't know, but you should definitely come to USC with me, LA wouldn't even be able to handle to pure amount of awesome we would perpetrate

plus we could ski free at mammoth, my aunt is an awesome cook, and we could work in the ski shop for beer money

Abek on here puts all the USC ski team edits together, so he would be a good guy to ask, along with the pink name who has posted in this thread. Lots of wealthy kids of course, but it's a great school in a shitty area.

And all this stuff about being in a shitty area.. after spending 4 years, I would have to disagree. LA is a really sweet place to have everything you need. Yeah, it's not your typical college town, but it's definitely a really cool experience. They just built that whole big LA live thing down the street with free shuttles every night, so you've got your whole college night vibe, plus the surrounding area is just getting better and better by the year. Downtown is sweet, fashion district is really cool, lots of cool art galleries and shops. Even if you're not into football, you'll get into it and have a blast partying with friends and watching games. And the icing on the cake - skiing mammoth every weekend. Last year I was in engineering full time and skied 110 days. This year I graduated in december and moved up to the ski team house and am living here full time.
Negatives - yeah a lot of rich bitches and frat douches, but it's a huge school and you can find your niche. Lots of cool cinema kids, smart engineering kids, business kids that actually are proactive in starting businesses and what not. It's a really really good school and most people are really really smart.
i mean come on, don't you want to be apart of this!
