Anyone go to Lewis and Clark?

I have a friend that goes there currently, he does not ride though. He says he likes it a lot, however the college it self mostly has east coast kids that go to it, most of his friends from college are from ohio, illinois, vermont, and its a good law school.

down side is it is expensive, if that matters to you, not that many kids go there, and when PSU and LC snow clubs got together, there was 15-24 snowboarders that was in there club that was at the movie premiere party we had.

hopefully that helps with some info.

ski culture isnt big there, but there are definitely a lot of skiers in the Portland area. myself included.

However if you have a big priority of skiing a lot and going to school, portland is a good place, but definitely not great.

hour and half drive to hood, our snow is not amazing we call it northwest concrete... it is good for park and groomers, we get occasional pow as well.

However people overall are super chill, definitely still fun.

Hood during the winter is no CO or UT.

Hey man, i just graduated from Lewis and Clark this past may. Its a pretty good school academic wise, some really professors and all that, really epic environmental science program. Most of the student body are from cali or the east coast as said above, and everyone is a super hippy-hipster. Lots of drinking, lots of crazy drugs. There is a small ski scene, but virtually no park scene. there are always a couple, but its not that great. Hood is further than most think, like an hour and half or more. Its worth it, but only if you have a car and can schedule classes to give yourself days off. I skied a shit load, but had a house to bum at in govy and still paid a small fortune on gas.

My physics teacher went there and when ever he mentions it he always says "pretty good school" so much that kids made a shirt for him. Really the only thing i know about it. But he's an awesome teacher so thats all i got for ya.

I applied, but ended up not going. I think Portland would be a dope place to live, great for skating and not tooooo far from Hood, not close either. Portland is overall a great city.

sorry man, idk. Downtown Portland has a bunch of good spots, plus Burnside, but L&C isn't really near downtown. But there's ton's of new parks in the portland area so there might be one nearby, and as for the campus I have no idea.

yes there is...... a sick sick park on capitol hwy.. the holly farm skatepark.

but there are so many good skate spots and AMAZING parks in the area.. and there are three indoor parks as well. and coverd pipes as well. hell in west linn alone. theres the main park and the seceret park
