i went to Canada. Did lake louise, sunshine fernie and whistler. Lake louise had a pretty cool park and is real big with some cool tree and glades run. Fernie was fucking insane with like 3 days of knee deep powder, cept it was fucking cold there, the last day got to -40 degrees and they dont really have much of a park. Whistler really frustrated me, the potential of the place was obviously huge and it looked sick, problem was that we were there just in time for that pineapple express thing that came through and we had 5 days of solid torrential rain (atleast the first day was a powder day on blackcomb though) so i ended up spending a lot of time in a rained out park and even more time wandering around town. Sick trip though, canada is awesome and heaps cheaper than most places in the states

worked for breeze ski rentals at the base of vail mountain.

got to see heaps of the open and chilled with the rippers in the pipe while they had the final on.

vail park was good. but i rate the copper park more.

our pipe was mean most of the time. but the park never really got completed until the honda sessions end of jan.

working and skiing, pretty good but expensive if youre a tourist and not that big a park, big halfpipe. Had some awesome days though. but yeah probably too expensive id say

I've been in Val D'Isere in France for the last 2 winters and there's a lot to be said for going to Europe. Val D'Isere is a pretty legendary resort anyway, but is particularly re-nowned for the massive amount of reasonably accessible off-piste.

I've not been to the US or Canada skiing, but from what I've heard, if your into freeride then Europe is amazing in the way that you can go anywhere u like. In the US & Canada it seems there's much more restrictions, but also that the general skiing area isn't as big due to the way the mountains are- i.e. in Europe they're all joined and connected so u can almost ski all the way across the alps.

Yeah, Val d'Isere is awsome.

I worked out there for a while in 2003 & was there for two weeks this season plus another two holidays befor that. Definatly my favourite place in Europe.

samerexept i gtuess i got to whistler earlier than you cause i left to louise after like 2 days of rain

if it were easier it would be called snowboarding

i like the sticker that says " Ya mum rides a Snowboard"

japan is highly under rated... the winter starts late november and we ski till may... almost every day during winter is a powder day... it just snows constantly, we usually get well over 4m... but having said that, we just finished our third and final season... then heading home for the winter, then canada for theirs...

life is simple, ski, surf, get out there and enjoy!
