. . .as in not wearing socks with their boots?

skaters, hockey players, rock climbers, ski racers do, for a good 'feel'. or is this an illusion?

No, but I used to wear footies because my wool socks took to much room in the boots(they were small on me). Then I decided that was stupid and started wearing wool socks again.

i couldn't do that... all my leg hair would rip out, and it's already painful enough with all the indirect chafing.

^not only the leg hair thing, but my boots already smell bad enough, I don't need my bare feet sweating in there. At least I can wash my socks.

i thought about it, but i'm afraid of the leg hair thing. i have a permanent ring around my calf here the top of my boot is.

 
SUPER stinkly boot syndrome would result. My feet sweat so much already in regul;ar shoes without socks so ski boots are like 10x worse because no ventilation

to everyone with shin hair problems, just shave it off. yes, it looks funny, but it's winter so you're wearing jeans or long pants all the time anyways. i was really suffering from this early season but now i just shave my legs every few days when i'm skiing and it's great.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
 
It's a good idea, unless you're all male shin models which I'm going to assume you're not.

I'm also going to assume you don't have some weird shin fetish.

i wouldnt do it, youd get mad blisters and your feet would get so damn stinky, youd probably get tinea or somthing after only 1 day, too

i cant even wear casual shoes without socks, my feet cane and they stink heaps bad

I've done it many times, you wont get blisters if you have boots that fit. Your feet shouldn't be moving inside the boots but if they dont fit right it will result in blisters. i normally just ski in ankle high socks, i ski enough to not worry about some hair on my shins or whatever this girls are complaining about.

When i went heli-skiing there was a crazy fucker from NZ named "frog" skiing with no socks.
