I have been on the go for the past year with travel between different cities and countries from work and travel with work is always awesome... get to drink your ass off, see new things, meet new people etc etc.

How many people have had to travel on someone else's dime besides "mommy money"?

I had a four day seminar in NC for SQL. I got drunk with strangers and ended up at a strip club.

it was lonely though, id have rather been home.

^was there for a week. Seminar was four days.

speaking of which, Casey leaves for Chicago on Monday for work...picking out new equipment for his department.

What's your occupation?

The distributor I work for has the rights to six different counties so some routes I run take me to places I never would have gone otherwise. Many are beautiful places (Yosemite, southern Sierra Nevada, etc.). Not quite travel, but I've used a lot of diesel that I didn't have to pay for.

I love the feeling of being away from home and in a crazy new place. I used to do 2 week stints at my old job and it was awesome. It was always in the same city (Vancouver Canada) so it felt like a second home. I would make the 1-2 week trip 6-8 times a year.

Now I end up in different cities so it is a little more nerve wracking but still worth it in the end to travel on someone elses dime and get meet all these new people. Most the people I meet are quite odd... A few months ago I met the only woman in the history of F1 racing to score a point, I met the budwieser heir on the same trip as well. Working in such a niche market you meet some pretty specific people.

Nothing significant. I've been able to travel around Alberta a bunch for work and it's pretty sweet that the gov't pays for it. I'm in a little community, so it's nice when I can get to Calgary or Edmonton for some training. With the exception of a very few circumstances, I'll never be able to travel out of the province for work, but whatever.

My territory i work for is Florida. So i get to travel down there all the time. Pretty nice since when i go down there clients just take me golfing and out to dinner.
