Anyone from Brattleboro / Keene area?

Hey There,

So my parents recently bought a business in Brattleboro and I am considering moving out there to work for them. Keene seems like a pretty cool place to live with KSC being there. Not sure where I would personally live yet though... what are your guys thoughts on living around the area year round?

is there a good party scene at KSC? lots of people headed to ski from around here? lemme know!
 
Keene definiely gets down. my boy used to go to school there and it was always a good time. Pumpkin Fest is sick. I think (dont quote me its been a while since i've been) you will be an extra hour away from snow, killi, okem etc so i would move a bit closer to 91 if i was you. maybe split the difference between the 2 so your kinda close to keene but still close to where you will be wokin/mtns
 
Brattleboro definitely isn't my favorite town except for Woodmans, the tramp place. i doubt i'd ever hang out in Brattleboro because it just kinda sketches me out. but if you're in Bratt/Keene you're like 30 minutes(?) or so from mount snow and from Bratt it's an about 50 minutes to Stratton so you're like 1:20 from Okemo. I'm just not a fan of Brattleboro though haha
 
haha i have a serious love/hate relationship with the town of brattleboro. never ending source of fascination...ive hitch hiked out of there, its not as sketchy a town as it seems i swear! i know alot of cool people from brattleboro, the area around it is beautiful and about a half hour from mount snow (on a good day.)
and theres a guy who always parks downtown with wolves on the back windshield of is truck...
 
we used to roll to mt snow from putney on a daily kid, mad kids from keene every day. U will have a good time there for sure, if not come up and visit the north :: )
 
Yeah found out about a Job I applied for in Utah that I got. So unfortunately I won't be joining the new family business quite yet.
 
I am here right now. I dont think it seems sketchy. Dirty dirty hippies everywhere and people with hair as long as mine every day. Looks really funny and quirky. The food co-op is hilarious. Whole town is kinda fun! I am stoked that my parents have a business here because I kinda want to live in downtown brattleboro for a little bit and just enjoy the weirdness.

is there a hippier town? maybe some peace and love compound in Cali, but for cities, I'd love to see a study of hair length. maybe the percentage of residents with really long dirty hair. How about that short woman who had massive dreads that reached below her butt? she worked/works in the co-op for a while. its barely a grocery store, just a chill refueling spot before we go into the woods.
