Anyone For Romney?

I can honestly say that I have never heard that before. Maybe I should start reading freakonomics instead of just saying that I will and having it gather dust on my shelf.

ha i mentioned the same thing. It is real. I still think abortion is inherently morally wrong, but the facts are there. Legalized abortion reduces crime rate.

Wow abortions had nothing to do with it Guiliani had the laws enforced like they should bge and the criminals were arrested.

Thats crap...I may not like Guiliani but I respect the hell out of what he did...him and his police chief completely cleaned up new york. Saying Guiliani didnt do shit is like saying Bill Clinton took us out of national debt.

is english your second language?

because you have no idea how to make a analogy

and romney sounds like such a piece of shit liar in the debates, even as a democrat my favorite republican so far is a huckabee, he seems really honest although newsweek had a really bad article on him today.

i just wish i could combine the good qualities of Ron Paul (individual rights, human liberties, the constitution ect.) with the good qualities of Dennis Kucknich (enviormental issues, peace ect,)

their perfect for each other two tiny ass awsome guys!

i met kucinnich in 2004 it was really chill he came and spoke to a crowd of like 200

Good that you chose the good stuff, otherwise we'd have a racist who thinks the USA should be a gated community and who nearly got abducted by aliens, with a smoking hot wife.

though that last part may be good enough for most.

I concede that my first post was poorly stated. My problem is saying my mind instead of meticulously plotting every single post I make.

For example when I used the word "criminal" in my first sentence, I meant it in the context of an expression. A word like "ludicrous" or "ridiculous" would have been a much smarter choice. And yes, when I was thinking of taxes I was not considering payroll tax, but rather simply income tax.

I already said my piece on voting. Just because you hypothesize that they will not turn out in numbers (proportionate to the rest of the country) does not necessarily mean that they wont. They're the most disadvantaged demographic in this country. They should get the right to vote in order to benefit their lives (assuming they get US citizenship). If they don't take that opportunity, fuck em, it's their choice.

And I never stated that crime rates climb because they are Mexican. It climbs because you add a large number of poor people to a already poor community. The higher concentration of people stimulates criminal activity. It wouldn't matter if they were white, Asian, or Fijian. If you can't control the influx of poor people, or enable people to progress out of it, the crime will continue.

I think it goes both ways on the language, at least thats my perspective from Denver. I know a fair amount of Hispanic people, some of them probably are illegal, but they are all bi-lingual. At the same time I know that there are people that have lived in the Hispanic neighborhoods for several years and still have not picked up the language.

Perhaps its more of a misrepresentation rather than putting words into my mouth. I just got irritated because that one twit accusing me of copy-and-paste while supachronic99 jacks off to anything that rebukes me (do yourself a favor and don't give that moonbat the time of day, he's just another dime-a-dozen self righteous punk). You didn't do anything wrong Patty.

Do you also think we can solve any of those problems while we simultaneously have people flooding into this country? I really don't. I don't think any practical long term solutions can be devised with this hanging over our heads. The influx of people needs to be stabilized before you can consider any programs that concern the people. Remember when I mentioned treating a gunshot wound with pain killers?

The government is anti-immigrant because many of its constituents are bigots. Today's immigration backlash isn't much different than that of the "Know Nothing" party against Irish immigrants in the 1850s or the KKK against almost all immigrants in the 1920s. The only difference is our tighter immigration policy compared to during previous immigration waves, so emigrants can't enter legally and inevitably find alternative methods of entry.
