Anyone ever thought about Country for an edit song choice?

No, not like good old Willie Nelson, because that has been used before....but like something like this

I myself am a fan of country, and lots of other music too, but i have always been tempted to use a country song, but i feel like i would get ripped apart. There are some actual useable songs i have found, but i feel like it would really fitt.

Has anyone ever contemplated it?!?!
 
Honestly, most country released after the late 70s would make me instantly turn off the edit.

I can appreciate the old guys, I really like bluegrass and some other distinctly american styles of music... but I grew up in a small town that had 4 radio stations - 2 bible bashing talk radio stations and 2 country stations. That stuff is really truly bad music for the most part. Just can't do it.
 
ya i guess the older stuff would be better, i don't think skiing mixed with a summer night, driving in your truck, and kissing a girl really work to well together

 
Haha probably not. Should also clarify - I didn't mean to be rude with my last comment. Just my opinion of course, haha.
 
I'd try it if i had some decent country about being in the mountains or something. but you should try it even if it isn't that good it will still be better than doing a gangster edit

Your profile said it, but in all seriousness I'm not surprised haha everyone loves it here. Even starting to grow on me a tiny bit. I'm sure there might be a couple songs that would work but for the most part I don't see a great connection between country music and ski edits.
 
growing up in Calgary, with The Calgary Stampede every year its hard to not give into country music....but i always wanted to try to link that connection with skiing... which is hard. I'm going to try to find one about canada and the mountains, maybe see if that will work

 
not that song but i fucking love country and im sure it could work in the right edit with the right song. im surprised people havent really used even johnny cash
 
Watching people get butthurt over an edit on the Internet is fucking classic. Some country is definitely on my list of edit songs
 
ahah editing drunk is always a risk...... but i actually liked that, i think that type of country would work better, kenny chessney or some buffet would work well i think

had "some beach" by blake shelton come up on random while skiing today.

needless to say, it was awesome
 
I will probably use something country this year. Fits a bit better for my style of skiing with is all backcountry and powder mixed with gun shooting and snowmobile boondocking.
