Anyone ever done some International volunteering?

I've recently been intrigued by traveling and I would rather help some people out while I'm on my journey. I've been trying to find some organizations and places to volunteer around the world starting next summer. Has anyone been to another country and volunteered? Just looking for some input on organizations, grants, and other opportunities.

check out rotary, I have a bunch of friends who go to Kenya to volunteer. They say it is one of the most rewarding experiences you could ever have.
