Plow down the jumps just as soon as spring skiing starts? 2nd year in a row they've done this. As soon as the snow starts to soften up and become nice at the beginning of March they flattened the jumps out. Da fuck.

Are they putting rails in place? Sometimes you gotta kill the jump line when the snow gets thin cause it’s a good stockpile of base to spread out. Plus it’s nice having fresher snow instead of surface stuff that’s months old and super dirty / slow.

Dirt and grease are gonna float to the top when the snow is melting regardless.

If the snow situation is looking dire then it's fair or maybe even necessary. If you're doing fine for snow then that's wack

Fine for snow this year and last when they did it. They still haven't had to close any runs and no bare ground anywhere. They've never had an issue leaving the jumps up through March in the past.

our resort did the opposite. the last 3 days they rebuilt 2 big jumps and a hip for the last three days

Breckenridge plows their parks down a couple months before the end of the season, it's a damn shame.

Now this. In an email saying they're open until at least the end of Easter weekend: Sorry, the park features were removed as they were unstable.

That sucks, least they can do is put a few rails in on said green run as a little hike park.

If we’re talking the same hill,

the actual reason was pineault was just melting way too fast. Limited snowmaking on it this winter and was just not worth harvesting massive amounts of snow every night from other runs especially with a week of skiing left.

i set up a tube on the side thats up all weekend
