Anyone elses school promoting "gay day" tomorrow???

Ok, so apparently tomorrow is national day of silence in honor of all the gays, lesbians, and bisexuals in the population. apparently what they are trying to do is show normal people what its like to be under the "silence" that these said beins experience in their everyday life. now to participate in this, you have to bring in a permission slip and you get an armband to wear around all day to show youre participating in this.

now heres where it gets crazy. apparently today there were two kids who told someone who is openly gay that theyre going to bring a gun into school tomorrow and shoot anyone with an armband on. the police were called blah blah and now the school is trying to decided whether or not theyre going to have the gay day celebrations tomorrow. i think its bullshit that theyre having it in the first place but its kinda crazy that some kids threatened to bring guns in over it.

 
if people would just do what we were created to do (man - woman)... we would not have any problems.
 
i have one tomorrow you just get a slip from a teacher and you dont have to talk, i dont care as long as it pushes back my french presentation more
 
yeah basically you dont have to talk all day, but you do have to walk around with a big ass armband on yourself showing the whole world what you support and shit. i mean i guess its getting people out of doing things in class but its still fucking retarded and i dont see why anyone would participate. people choose to be gay, and with that comes belittling and everything that comes with it. i mean yes its their choice but in this society theres nothing that can be done about that so they should just deal with it.
 
i do not like gay people. i have a gay person in my family. during thanksgiving its really hard to not look at him funny.

i kinda want to go to my schools just so i can find out who the gay kids are. not like id do anything about it...it would just be nice to know for locker rooms and urinals.

yeah we have to take a day of silence..... 2 day out of school suspension to anyone who doesnt comply. but then again we get out of school suspension for missing a detention so nothing new
 
pretty much same thing here dude, im not intollerant of other people just because they may do something thats different. i dont like people that hate on other peoples way of life so be how messed up it is.and the weird part is the people ive met that hate the most are the super strong minded christians.im not trying to start anythin but all of my christian friends generally hate everyone thats different from them.kinda doesnt make me as comfertable around them
 
in my school we know who the gays and lesbian bitches are. theres liek 3 lesbian couples that stand in the hall and make out its so fucking disgusting i want to puke all over them everytime i see them. and then theres this one kid whos so obviously gay that peple forced him to come out which caused like 4 other people to come out. its so nasty to walk down the hall and see them everyday knowing that (well guys at least) the could be attracted to me. thats not fucking cool...at all
 
i go to belmont hill in massachusetts, were an all guys school and we dont have it, but my friend who goes to middlesex also has it

were on vacation right now but when we get back from break there is a a gay day. my school is really big into the whole equal rights things there is even a gay club where they can talk about these kinda things.
