Anyone else's parents not understand the sport?

I like to get really technical with shit around other people talking about skiing especially my parents. Trick names and terminology in skiing is awesome and way over everyone's head.

They hate me for it
 
I fell bad for you dude, my dad as a kid funded my skiing as much as he could with his little teaching salary, until i could pay for it myself, and then even in highschool he became a ski patroller so our family could get seasons pass at our local hill.
 
my parents think park/urban skiing is cool. they have no problem with it at all. they said they rather watch it then racing. smashing gates and wearing race suits looks boring watch.
 
sort of mine always say that since I'm not competing why would I risk getting injured and it makes me laugh.
