Anyone else unhappy with themselves this season?

definitely did not accomplish what i set out for. The only things I actually accomplished that I planned were placing in the top 5 at a HP comp, going to JO's again, learning switch lip and blind spins out of rails, and actually doing a few tricks in the Kings Crown.

These, however, did not happen: landing a rodeo on a park jump/pipe, stomping 9's in pipe, getting sw 7 in pipe on lock, flare in pipe, podium in age group at JO's, getting my 7's back to normal on jumps, doing urban, going BC, and the list goes on...

Hopefully I'll be going to Windells so I can take care of a few of these.

Had an ok season, this season was all about getting creative, I feel like i did. Last season i knuckled the first jump in sun valley and got a partial tear in my ACL :-/ I skied everyday but that resulted in alot pain from my knee, that really held me back :-/

started off amazing

went from just doing sketch 5 to grabbed tail 9's, switch 5,s and rodeos and underflips, then

broke my collarbone,

then,

came back, could hardly land grabbed 3's and lost all my flips. fuck skiing

next year im giving up jumping and just focusing on rails because thats the only thing i stand a chance at

Either I'm bad at noticing sarcasm or you should just quit skiing. Why do it if you don't even like it?

total opposite, me season kicked ass

Learned how to ski powder

learned how to ski trees

new home mountain

Found some killer trees that are not popular

ON3P s lasted me the whole season, don't need new ones :)

GoPro

made friends

fuck i want more snow

I can see where he is coming from, this season skiing just wasn't as sick for me as it was 5 years ago.

I didn't go much, my old mountain sucked a fat one so I switched mountains and my friends that I normally went with just stopped going.

people like other things, not every skier has to be 100% into skiing, shit gets stale if you dont mix things up.

i think im happy, even i didn't have the same pushing on end of the season as last years.made my goeal cork 7, 450 on, flatspin 5.i'd say that im just happy.

Lets see, what i did this season...

Oh yeah i got pertusis and spent the whole ski season at home on the couch missing school and skiing. I had a total of 5 days on snow this season and i spent the majority of it coughing up blood. (plus i can't go to a summer camp because summer school runs through july, because i missed a whole semester of school)

Sorry if I sound whiny i'm just a little depressed.

i got mono in late december but didnt go to the doctor so i had no energy whenever i went skiing and didnt know what was wrong. went to the doctor and then i had to rest for 6 weeks because i damaged my spleen and liver by skiing and falling with mono. so i basically got a couple good days in dec, then some days where i forced myself to go cause i was feeling really sick but really wanted to ski anyways, then my season ended mid feb. first day back on the first weekend of april i went for a cork 7 on the 3rd jump at sugarloaf and carved the lip to hard and popped off my ski mid air and slammed and broke a rib. back to hittin rails. so this season was no fun. at least i learned back 4s out kfeds and 2s on so it wasnt all a loss.

Ended Up with three shoulder dislocations and a really bad concussion a couple weeks back thats still affecting me bad, missed a hella a lot of classes rite after got pneumonia. On the bright side still skied close to 30 on my local mtn and 15 at whistler all with good buddies, so it was still a good season for me

I progressed from 3's and the occasional 5 to dubs, rodeo 9's and 10's, flats, and hucking bigger cliffs.

i been skiing roughly 140 days i almost have doubles and got switch 3's and reg 7's i wish i was pro by now shhhhhhhiiiiiiiit!

Hell no!! i fucking killed it. haha. But i did ski 130 days and walked away from all of them, so that i def something to be happy about. Skied some pow, some bumps, and our park was the best it's ever been, so that makes me pretty satisfied with season #26.

i wish i could spin more and tweak out my grabs but i guess thats what you get for midwest.... i got worse at rails, i cant dub swap on kinks and i cant 450 out anymore

From a former spring college athelet I want to warn you that the same time that the bulk of training happens Is h

iPod fail & fail. I'll get to the point witch is skiing and college sports mix zero unless that sport is ski club/team. I made the choice to stop running in college and ski and it was best choice I probably made in college. Do what matters to you but reilize if a college is paying for you to go to school they are going to want time in return that can't be used for skiing.

man that suck about ur splen i ruptered mine a month before the season started lol i only missed like a week though

Meh. I never really spent tons of time in the park to begin with and first day of the season i fell in the park and tweaked my back. It made me pretty timid the rest of the season park wise but I've skied faster and way more challenging trails then ever before so im satisfied with that. Also got some sick pow days in. I wish i skied more though.

sorry to hear that bro ... drugs got me down and out for like the past 2 seasons... I was in jail last season until february so i didnt ski that much at all. Maybe got 5 to 10 days in this year. Im living in the middle of michigan with no resorts nearby with no car, barely any money. I used to be pretty good at skiing and now its to hard to even try to go. Fuck drugs

Im dissapointed that I didnt get to film that much. Got a T2i in the summer and thought i would be bringing it to the hill everyweekend but its just not practical if you actually want to spend time skiing as well, not holding a camera the whole time.

On the brighter side however, I got alot better at skiing!!! and really into photography.
