Anyone else have "helmet" parents

helmets are awsome as far as skiing goes, so many people get hurt without them its so easy to just wear one and avoid serios injury + the new ones look pretty legit

I love my bern helmet for skiing- mostly cause its warm and has headphones built in- I wear t all the time

For BMX and Mountain Biking I wear a full face and for downill MTB I wear pads- I fuckin love pads cause they take away sooo much pain from falls-

I wear a helmet wakeboarding too

Ski: helmet all the time

Road bike: normal bike helmet

MTB: bike helmet

Downhill + jumping mtb: full face and knee-shin guards (this helmet actually saved my ass like 4 days ago. I am now still in the hospital with a ruptured spleen, but if i hadnt been wearing a helmet, i would be fucked up, MAYBE dead.)

Longboard: full face

skate: skate helmet

back in the day i used to wear a face mask hockey helmet and full pads blading at pc's park haha

but yeah, i dont fuck around with helmets, there is no reason ever not to be wearing one

my mom and dad used to always make me wear helmets and pads for everything. but somewhere along the line they just started letting me decide for myself. on the hill i wear one, i really never do skating unless its a skatepark that requires helmets, and not at all inlining really, unless im at your house and your mom makes me wear one. >.>

im a lot more confident with pads, plus what can you move in more, pads or a wheelchair. i dont like em, but they can do great things!

Moms make me wear one on the pvc backyard setup....but not longboarding at 25mph+ tell me how that makes sense

i don't usually mind wearing my helmet even tho i look like a retard. i just always tell myself that i would rather look like a retard rather than be a retard after smashing my head into the ground. but my parents are ridiculous about me always wearing. i don't want to always wear it when im just going to a friends house less than a mile away

i forgot mine for one day, i was doing frontflips, then tried one off wierd jump, didnt commit, overjumped, landed on my head, 2 broken ribs, a concussion, now im not allowed to do anything. ski, ride, skate, go into town, or hang with friends.

all because i didnt wear my helmet for one day.

skiing i always wear one, my choice.

biking, i only wear it if im dirt jumping or riding street. my mom always gives me a guilt trip for not wearing it if im biking to my gf's. that's what pisses me off. sure, when im doing shit that has a better chance of injury, yeah ill wear it voluntarily. but when im taking a bikepath to get to her place, come on. ive been riding bikes since i was like 4 or 5. grrrr

i always wear my helmet skiing. unless it involves lackadaisically skiing groomers. helmets have gotten so comfy and convenient i dont really have a reason not to wear one...

All my friends never where a helmet when we go and bike. This is more understandable if we were just cruising but we actually do some freestyle stuff. I always where my helmet though. My parents want me to where it but I also want to where it

it started as my parents forcing me... but ended up that they no longer really had a say and i tried skiing without one once but i had become so used to the helmet that it felt weird.

I have had enough concussions that even a small bump on the head for me gives me headaches for days. This pretty much motivates me to wear a helmet whether my parents force me or not.

dude, getting injured holds back progression.

I wear pads pretty much every time I skate and when i take a bad fall, I just get up and try it again where I would probably have been done for the day without pads

I feel the same way most of the time buddy but I guess its that unknown that can be dangerous, you may just be going a short distance but you could get clipped by a car when someone isn't paying attention or blow a tire and hit a tree or something. it doesn't matter how old or young you are or how much experience you have accidents happen and i pray that they don't happen to you or anyone else on here especially when not wearing a helmetso please don't become a veggie derek i need my Ski/DJ buddy to be able to ski and bike :)

well i don't mind wearing knees, elbows, and helmet pads...(caz i just started to skate). but then my parents tried to make me wear shin guards...and basically a body pillow

about half way through the season i realized that i dont even own a winter hat

so yes, i do always wear my helmet. it's saved me some pain probably but i haven't hit my head very hard yet *knocks on wood*

I always wear one when I'm skiing and biking. I'm really want one for skateboarding, I just haven't had time to go get one. Its stupid to not wear one, head injuries are serious shit.

if you are an inliner i wouldn't recommend a helmet, just hit your head and die already, if it werent for helmets Darwin's theory would have already gotten rid of you. but if you're smart youd wear a helmet, mine has save me a few times and only giving me minor memory loss and brain bleeding instead of full death

my parents want me to wear one but they dont make me which is awesome cause i hate having extra equipment especially when its beautyful weather

probably going to e my new sig

also my parents make me wear a helmet. got a bern one so i sticky it to make it look half way descent.
