Anyone else hate those damn montec jackets

I work in the rentals department at my home mountain and every weekend I see floridians and all these dumb people who have never touched snow in their lives wearing those stupid ugly ass jackets. The look like they are straight out of the Chinese factory or wish.com and it doesn't make sense how even the dumb tourists would think they look nice. Like what the hell? Anyway those are my thoughts and I'm just curious to see what the rest of NS thinks.

I'm sure that's because people who have never skied a day in their life see those ads on tiktok and think that all the core skiers wear them so they buy them for when they pull up to the mountain they can look "cool" while falling down the bunny slope while their rental skis pop off

From what I understand Monte is pretty good quality and tech at a pretty low price point so is kind of a value play. Like the opposite of Peak Performance.

They way I see it is that it is not for the newschoolers audience. But I support it just based on the fact that it's a low barrier, low price outerwear that is going to get more people on the hill an stoked on riding.

I’ve heard other threads with people saying Montec is ugly, but can anyone actually explain why they think it’s gross looking? It’s not my style either but the gear in general looks pretty streamline and minimalistic, their logo is clean too. Am I missing something? I feel like I see way worse/laughable outfits on the mountain than to ever look at montec and go “that’s ugly”
