Anyone else finding that x-games without Henrik just isnt as fum

I’ve got a feeling Edjoy will fill the gap, kid’s a bundle of positivity. Hope Henrik still competes after the olympics

Henrik have been one of the only reasons i sometimes watch comps. Remember watching the nosebutter tripple 16 on xgames in 2013. From that moment on he was my favorite skier. He looked different, did his tricks in his own way with elegance and creativity. Nowadays skiers have been looking up to him for so long and people have really startet to have his same type of look on skiing so there are many more kids that can take his spot as the style lords in comps.

i do however hope that Henrik will make more films, as that is where i feel like he really seems to be at home. No matter what project he has been in, it’s been so dope and enjoyable.

as for watching comps go, i have found a small love in it listening to a bunch of oldheads comment live on youtube, talking shit and tasting energy drinks, while reminiscing on the the 2010’s as they talk us through the comp.

Ngl big air wasn’t the same after vinny stopped competing anyway. Feels like everybody including henrik is just doing triple corks with mostly similar grabs

I doubt he will, hopefully we get a few good moments from him at the olympics

Henrik is just such a big star and personality. X Games is without their biggest star and I agree, its just not the same.

Definitely not as fum. Typically have the most fum watching him do insane knuckle huck tricks. Missing the fum this year

Edjoy is doing a good job filling the vacuum

Unpopular opinion here but his style feels much more forced than henrik and others. I'd go on a limb to say it's too much for me personally. I respect him and his skiing but it isn't for me.

Legit. I was more referring to the big smile and antics, pumping everyone up.

Edjoy is sick man, there were definitely probably in the past when Henrik felt too much at times maybe. I mean Henrik is pretty much my favorite skier ever, but I can even admit he pushed that barking pretty hard at times lol. But, I think being a bit too much can help with making that lasting impression that makes it not just volkl athlete #4 dropping.

Others can and will have to fill that Henrik void as Henrik is probably in his last year(s) of competing in slope/big air (hope he proves me wrong). Edjoy definitely provides some flavor and I think Ferdi is a whole vibe as well. Maybe Ferdi isn't necessarily loud enough, but between making clothes, his music, and skiing, I definitely noticed the absence of his presence (did he just not qualify or something?) If he sold one of those ipod shuffles he rocks during comps, I would def be interested in jamming to that on the hill haha

I hate to say it but I agree with you. it just seems like he's trying too hard.
