can anyone help me out? im going to france in about a month with school and i have a question. i know the drinking age there is 18 but how hard is it to get alcohol? like do they check id's or what? any help would be good!

I live here. Have never seen a single person get id'd at a bar, club or store. Unless you literally look like you're 12 then no problems.
 
I spent a week there when I was 17 and had no problems getting anything. If they ask for ID just pretend you can't understand them and shove the cash towards them
 
Wasn't a problem when i was underage...hopefully that hasnt changed in the last 5 years. Just stay on beer/wine, they still have much more laisse-faire rules for that than hard liquor.

 
if you stick to beer and look/act mature they won't give a fuck ...

if you start hitting the stronger spirits, they might ask for ID tough ....
 
Been teaching in primary schools in france for the last 5 months, loving it. It's a cool country, has its own way of doing things but hey whatever works. for them. As for drinking it won't be a problem there normally, pretty chill on that front.
 
La* France, and no, I bet you can drink pretty easy. Continental Europe is pretty chill about that kinda stuff.
 
yeah they could give a rat's ass. if you go into any store that sells alcohol, preferably one owned by arabians, they will sell you anything because they only care about making money off americans.
