Anyone been to Alta recently?

I heading out there on the 11th and I'm wondering how the conditions are.

i was there last week and skiied powder to my knees. everything had full coverage and everything was open. i had a buddy who drove up to brighton today and said there was powder to his waist so.. i would imagine it was the same at alta.

i was there last week and found powder to my waist, with a little bit of a hike... mostly it was knee- to thigh-deep... basically ridiculous.

you'll be fine. it snows about 4 days a week at alta, i heard they average over 2 feet of snow a week, its insane out there. when i was there last year they were reporting 4 inches,when we got up there it was knee deep, so they uder report their snowfall a lot of times.

I was at the Bird two days ago and the conditions were epic!!!!

Knee to thigh deep, winds kept filling tracks.

yeah the conditions here are hot man. its raining in the valley but the pow in the mountains is hot. its not 'lanchin either. www.alta.com for snow report

alta was ill today, catherines didnt open yesterday and supreme bowl didnt open till 1:00 so today was gnarbucket, plenty 'o' stupid lines to be had
