Has anyone been to any awesome, super remote, island beaches? Or any great hotels with a similar setting? what were your likes and dislikes?

Surprisingly Tahiti is not that expensive to get to. Anyone been to SE Asia?

Gettin a head start on a vacation with the GF this summer.
 
i've been to the bahamas twice..i think it was grand bahama island

and i've been to orlando three times i think
 
costa rica, guatemala, honduras and panama were dope places for that island beach, middle of nowhere feel and you get to hit up both the atlantic and the pacific coasts which in my opinion both have real different feels to them

also on the asia side, my trip that woud be kinda tropical was vietnam, it has a long ocean coast with decent development in some spots without losing the asian and cultural feel to it

From what I've heard, SE Asia is bat shit fucking crazy and if you don't die from the mass amount of drinking, you come out with a new perspective on life/you're the fucking man.
 
I'm more of a Mediterranean guy myself (same with the gf), but I've been eying the Seychelles or Maldives (a wee bit chicle though) as something tropical
 
Maui is super awesome, especially if you kite or windsurf
i went to Nevis too and that was a really fun time, the locals were really nice, and unlike Jamaica our hotel wasn't some pompous walled in place hiding/protecting us from natives who hate the tourists.

i went on one business trip/vacation with my family to san diego for a couple days, then drove up to BC

other than that, ive gone skiing for every single school break since i was born
 
i used to go to hawaii a bunch when i was younger. my whole dads side of the family lives there so we stayed at my aunts house, cut all hotel costs, which allowed us to spend money on alot of other shit that was much cooler than staying in a resort the whole time anyway. both oahu and the big island are really fucking sick too
 
Chartered a boat in the British virgin islands, it was so sickthe boat was a 50'cat owned by a husband and wife, the wife was a mad good cook, and we just cruised around for a week
