Anybody with BC experience want to come ski the slot?

If you don't know what or where it is then please don't bother responding, you'll get there when it's time for you to get there.

For the others, my climbing partner and I are going to have a breakfast descent of the Slot and Crooked early next month, avy conditions permitting. Even if the snowpack sucks, it should make for a nice day of ski mountaineering. We shoed up to the base last week looking for some decent ice climbs and they both looked pretty covered.

Let me know. PM me if you're serious.

^ haha i was thinking the same thing but i didnt wanna break the rules. where/what is this so called slot now that its been asked??

haha, The slot! Slot and Crooked couloir in the Alpental Valley. You all didn't miss anything. I toured up there two days ago and it wasn't even covered. Boilerplate and rocky on the north face as well. Maybe next month yall.

Its close. But esad is on the Alpental side and about 10 miles past the end of Alpental Rd I'm pretty sure. The Slot is closer to Snoqualmie Mountain. I skin in from the first turn off after you go under I-5. No trip report, no pictures, not scouting it. Its just a cool place to tour around and find good stuff to work for turns. Right now I have only 2 friends that tour with me, but would like to find more people who know good BC ettiquette and are familiar with their gear.

word. my friends and i got our level 1's in avalanche training last year and have been looking for someone who knows some mellow places to ski around snoqualmie/stevens area we only have snow shoes but we are basically looking to make some trips to ski some cool stuff so that we can get more experience in the BC

Haha, I just got my BC setup for the year. Now I need to take some classes...

Can't wait to get climbing! I know I'm gonna love it

I am bringing my backcountry gear back from tahoe christmas vacation, so January on I would be down for backcountry/ stevens slackcountry. Got an avi 1 and a fritschi set up.

speaking of back country, would anybody be interested in hiking all the way over to the secret cabin? if you don't know where it is don't ask

HAHA Smart ass! Thats party cabin in the summer!

Anybody that wants to come tour PM me and I'll give you my number. I usually hit the Snoqualmie Mountain to Middle Fork area but do some snow camping in the Methow Valley at least once a year. Just waiting on snow and getting antsy now.

If anybody has tools and a little alpine arrest knowledge My two work buddies and I are going to climb Hood's Yokum Ridge Route on Friday morning and descend via hogback and the gates. Might end up leaving the skis at the base if its to boilerplate.

Always looking for good trustworthy people to tour and or climb with!
