ok, so i've wanting some twintips for like 3 years, but haven't wanted to spend a whole bunch of money. i really want some old 1080s, but no one wants to sell them. so i found these dynastar snaps on ebay for like $120 brand new. i've heard they suck, but for someone who doesn't want to spend that much and is sick of eating it on switch landings, are they ok?

Wait for some real skis to show up on ebay. Or get a pair of 165 concepts from five40guy.

The dynastar snaps are designed for small kids or midgets, if you weigh more than 140 lbs, you don't want them. wait for a real pair of skis that are a bit stiffer, you can thank us later.

Sport Mart had them going for $100 CDN a while ago. My dad is 5'6 and over > 150 pounds. He's not a freeskier but the 156s get him down the intermediate slopes fine, and he likes them more then some 160 Blizzard C-Matics he was on.

My sister is riding the 140s. She seems to like them. She still can't land a 180 though :|

I'm 5'6 100-ish pounds and riding 165 Concepts. I can't compare them to anything but rentals and the C-Matics (which nobody has ever seen or heard of) but I like them.

yeah, like kevin said, i'm only 5'4 and about 120 lbs. I ski 170's right now, but i figured i'd go down to around 160 for twin tips. 156 is REAL short, but i figure i'll spin faster.
