Anybody sick of the dis-respect shown to skiers by teen-age snowboarders?

I don't know about anyone else but on the hill, some snowboarders have no respect for new school skiers. I mean i respect what they're doing so whats the problem??

Maybe the ones by you just suck, I've never had a bad expierence with them. Hard not to respect someone throwing 7's, skier or boarder.

Yeah, i used to get pissed off by boarders dissin skiing. But as soon as i hucked a backflip it all stopped. Im not saying im pro just that you have to earn your respect.

I usually go with my friends who are mostly snowboarders and whenever some fagget shoots off to me about skiing, they fucking help me beat some fagget ass.

Yeah I used to hear that too. Most boarders are allright but there is always a bad apple. I was skiing in Badlands (Blue) one day and this kid on a board that was ridin the lift up was yelling somethin and wanted me to wait at the bottom of the hill. So I waited and waited and the kid never shown up. What a wuss. Oh well its probably just as well he didnt show up because I didnt need any trouble.

i was at copper the other day, and being friends with snowboarders and dating one has never been a problem outside of where i live (steamboat and whistler), but I was jibbin' this rail and this snowboarder walks up to me, looks me right in the eyes and fuckin' pushes me out of the way! I was seriously about to throw down...I know I am a skier and all, and I have no shame in what I do, but even so, I'm a girl and that was bullshit!!!!! Thank god most of the snowboarders who know what they are doing aren't completete assholes.

in general i think the snowboarder 'attitude problem' if you will seems to happen more at smaller hills and younger boarders who suck. and throwing down doesn't solve it all the time, especially with like 13 year olds. but you just gotta realize that 13 year olds are usually dickheads and beating up on 'em ain't fair so all you can do is ignore 'em, track down their parents if you wanna be a dick too, or try to convince ski patrol that they're an extreme danger to everyone if you wanna be a huge asshole

 
I did a screamin' seaman once and some boarder yelled 'that is the gayest move I have ever seen!', it was funny because I saw him fall on his back hard later trying a method grab.

my friend tries to pull that shit with me, but im not the one who lies about what he can pull on the hill. little kids seem to be the ones who talk the most shit, if you actually approach them they kinda shake it off and mumble something to make you look stupid and say nevermind.

I dont have a problem with boarders, almost all the ones i'll ride with are cool, but their are a lot of bitcthy ass boaders at my hill. Its mainly just the kids who suck, or just do it because of the image and they think its the cool thing to do

 
where I live everybody is pretty chill about skiing/snowboarding... around here its soccer vs football and lax vs baseball... football players think they are the shit, and my soccer team for school was never less than 2nd in the state all year, we had the most shutouts in school history and the best win percentage, and the best goal differential, and tied for least losses in a season... our record was 19-1-2... and the football team who was like 6-5 still couldnt show some respect

it goes the same qwith lax to baseball - I dont understand sometimes.. I dont like football or baseball enough to play either over soccer and lacrosse but I would never talk shit, esp abou tmy own fucking school... what is that?!

yeah at my mountain in CT i bust out pretty nice tricks infront of those reatard snowboarders that just sit in the park an can barely go off the jumos and they are sayin shit like skiin sukcs, i fuckin hate them with a passion, i could pull like 10 times the shit they can pull and they just bust that stupid fucking phrase out cause they want to be cool and all discriminate against skiers, i swear if i was like 6'0 i would just kick all of their asses at one fuckin time, ahh why do i have to be so short

im sick of the skier vs snowboarder shit, every day i hear from my friend 'your a stupid skier' or 'skiing is gay', never once have i talked shit about snowboarding, but he continues to bash skiing day after day. Never had any problems with snowboarders, some of them even come up to me and said how much skiing has potential and that they were now thinking of trading their snowboard for a pair a skis next season...
