Anybody quit snowboarding to ski?

I skied when I was a kid, snowboarded for 9 years (got pretty good, corks, rodeos,270s,450s,etc.)...now I've been back on skis for one season and have only touched my snowboard to package it up after selling it on ebay. Not to bag on snowboarding, but skiing is just more fulfilling. Anybody else quit snowboarding to ski or vice versa? Interesting.

I skied since i was 6, started snowboarding in college, then said fuck it and switched back to skiing 2 years ago.

I remember in the early 90's when this dude at whistler told me "i know lots of people that switched from skiing to boarding but i've never met anyone who switched back to skiing." im glad he was wrong.

I stopped snowboarding about 5 years ago. I had been growing a lot, all my gear was too small and needed all new shit. On OLN I saw what they were doing on skis and I was just thought that it was the coolest thing. I used to practice spinning with mute grabs and shit that I would see Philou doing on the front of the Tremblant Trail Map. Been skiing ever since.

coolcat skier used to snowboard, then he switched to skiing last year and got pretty good. by the end of the year he could throw 7's and he did a 3 over a pretty damn big jump at mammoth.

i've always been a skier, took up snowboarding for a couple years, busted myself, moved to a new city full of skiers, and became one again

tried snowboarding for a year but then when i realized skiers could go backwards and do rails and shit i switched back

i snowboarded for like 6 years, then gave it up for skiing like 3 years ago. Best decision i've ever made, besides wiping my ass

i quit snowboarding in 98, the year the 1080 came out...after 4 years of snowboarding i was sooooooo over it...

I've been skiing since I could walk. I bought a snowboard for this winter. Going to give it a go. I will never give up skiing. It will be like this.... 81.92 percent skiing, 16.46 percent snowboarding, and then

Since I fucked up the first one........

Here is the end....

I've been skiing since I could walk. I bought a snowboard for this winter. Going to give it a go. I will never give up skiing. It will be like this.... 81.92 percent skiing, 16.46 percent snowboarding, and then 1.62 percent fucking around: Skiing with no pants, crashing into peaople, snowblading, chairlift time, and spending time in the lodge.

i snowboarded for three years, then i skiboarded for two years (horrible decision) and now i'm skiing hopefully. and by years i mean 3-4 days cause thats my season

Skiied for a long time, did snowboarding for two years and went back to my love of skiing. And I never looked back.

yeah at the start of last year i didn't know anyone at my school that rode twins, now like four of my friends are riding twins instead of racing or boarding, still no teleskiers from my area killing it in the park tho...

so I saw this thing in class today. the side cut on snowboards has gotten bigger and biger over the course of time so eventualy a snowboard will just be two skis attached by a piece of string

i used to ride but then someone stole my snowboard and i say it as a sign from god to start skiing

Yea, im new here, but i started skiing when i was like 8, then me and my dad rented snowboards, and we were hooked. This is before everyone in my town called themselve a snowboarder. No alot of years have passed and everyones a "boarder" round here just cause they rented once or tiwce. So yea, i bought PE's this year to start off and im going back to skiing. cant wait.

same cept the main reason i switched was doug bishop... he was my instructor for my first year of it and really got me hooked on it

I'm going up to Mammoth this January with a bunch of friends that snowboard. By that time I'll have two pairs of skis so maybe I can convince one of my friends to try it for a day on the mountain. Maybe I'll be able to convert a few... how sweet would that be?
