Anybody know affects of mace/pepper spray

i'm putting some jackass type stuff in my ski movie, does anyone know chemistry or anything and know if mace or pepper spray can be potentially dangerous, anybody been hit with it?
 
i've been maced before (on accident) and i really dont recommend doing a stunt with it. it fucked me up for a few days...nothin to fuck with bro. theres a reason the cops use it...
 
I get sprayed with it every month for the Coast Guard Traning and it hurts like a mother fucker i dont recommend it at all it impares ur vision for a long time and gets in ur tear duckts and stings like a bitch
 
depending on that type or mase you use, some are stronger then others. the one the cops use is really strong and it will impaire your vision where you can open your eyes for hours and your vision can stay blury for days depending upon how direct the spray was. cheaper mase can sometimes contain dangerous toxins which could potentially leave you with impaired vision for your lifetime if not washed out quickly and properly.

theres alot funnier shit then mase. if you get caught spraying it anywhere in public you can be charged with assualt. each and every person affected and take you to court with there claim, and you could be out some big bucks. not to mention any action the law decides to take. My buddy sprayed that shit at a bus stop outside a school. he ended up paying over 60,000 to people affected, due to lost work and physical assault. id pick another prank if I were you.
 
Nobody mentioned that if you breathe it in it feels like you're swallowing fucking tacks and it's absolutely terrible as hell.
 
Yes, mace sucks. Some girl accidently let it off in my chemistry class last year and everyone was scratching their eyes and coughing for like 30 minutes. That wasn't a direct hit, it was just sprayed under a table, but it screwed with everyone in the classroom. It sucks.

it'dd be all right as long as your eyes are closed, and you have a buckey of cold water you can put your face in right away
 
mace is alot worse than that.

police stations have special solutions to neutralize the spray if i remember correctly.

i carry pepper spray with me.. and you are supposed to test it every month or something. so one time i was at a party and some kids wanted me to test it, and when i did i got some on my fingers. and the tiny bit that was on my fingers transferred to my soda can, then to my lips. The TINIEST bit of that stuff burned my lips soo bad. i actually had to leave early to go home because it was so bad. Splashing water on it only makes it burn worse and it lasted for like an hour. it sucked. i cant even imagine it in the eyes.
 
Ok even if you are going to appempt spraying someone with mace, just don't do it up close because like people can be it with it from 20 feet away, its pretty potent.
 
I've been sprayed and it's not something I would do again any time soon. The only real danger from it is you may have an allergic reaction, and possibly if you suffer from asthma or other breathing problems (or maybe stumble into traffic cause your eyes are closed). If you have some, try spraying a bunch into a room and go in for about 20 seconds and breath it in....also put some on your wrist and see if you break out.

Aside from that, the best way I can describe the pain is to imagine you've sliced your eye open with a razor and then poured rubbing alcohol on the cut....it's an odd pain and forces your eyes closed and it will be tough to catch your breath...you'll probably panic a bit. Once you wash it out of your eyes, your face will burn like a mother f*@*er for about 30 mins.

Something to keep in mind...if you get it on your hands, don't take a leak, and also be careful when you shower...it'll run down to that area and burn....

This is pepper spray, which as mentioned comes in various degrees. Don't think it's the same makeup as mace, so be careful.
 
haha some kid sprayed it in the halls right before passing time. he got in big trouble and he told me that they showed him the surveilence tape and everybody just walks out of their classes and immediately starts choking and coughing. everybodys just rolling on teh floor in agony. haha he almost didnt graduate.
 
At this partyu a few nights ago i got sprayed in my right eye, point blank with this intense breath spray. tgis retarded exchange student thought it was funny to spray peoples faces with it.I saw it out of the corner of my eye, and looked. WHAAAMMYY! I dropped to the floor in immediate immense pain. When you sprayed it in your mouth it like cleared your sinuses it was so potent. My eye was like forces closed for 30 minits, and i had to carry around a water bottle and flush my eye every 20 seconds for easily over an hour. when I could finally open my eye,it looked like i was seeing things underwater, and appearently it was bloodshot like madd. To think that mace or pepperspray could be worse is mind boggling, and something i am never goingto think about trying. It is literally like holding a lit match under your open eye.

second: I got bear maced over the summer, it sucked. You cant breathe, and I couldnt see, and my eyes were itching like they were covered in chicken pox. I felt like I was going to die.
 
before i spray your ass with mace.

i wouldn't mess with that shit. i wouldn't want to go blind and all that burning, not fun, but funny.
