some girl [Sara] decided to PM me because she saw that i hunted. she told me that i was a "fucking redneck who did not deserve god's mercy". she went on to flip out on me becuase i am "inhumane". i told her that she needed to stfu and post her opinion in the hunting thread. MY POST WAS DIRECTED TO HER, but she never posted in here. i guess she signed off...

i have as much respect for non-hunters as i do for hunters, but i dont have any respect for the ignorant ones who go around calling us "rednecks" for hunting (a.k.a. [Sara]).
 
I don't like hunting becuase I don't think it's that fair. I mean w/e your shooting with a gun has absolutely no chance against you. The thing doesn't have to hunt you but at least shoot with a bow to show some skill. Or anything besides a projectile moving at 500 feet per second.
 
today i killed a fezent we were hiking in the woods and it followed us for like 20 minutes, we named it sacajuea casue it was guiding us. it befreidnde us and i killed it, peace sacjuea

at my brothers school i was droppin him off in the mornign and some truck that was painted all camo drove up and there wasa hugee fuckin bear strapped to the bed. and the kid got out and went my pa just planked that sucker this morn. it was quite redneck. i hunt for mushrooms tho
 
i dont really believe in hunting. i do eat meat and understand what happens to those animals. i just dont feel comfortable going out and killing something like a deer. i gues one reason is that its minding its own business and its in the wild. the pigs we eat are born to be killed for food. it just seems more humane then going out in the wild and killing an animal just for the fun of it. yeah u can eat the meat but if ur just killing it for the horns or whatever then i dont think thats right. i will never hunt. i will not stop eating meat. thats what i feel.
 
Alright, too many people are commenting who know nothing of the purpose of hunting.

Hunting is a form of population control. Without it, many animal would overpopulate areas and die of starvation, disease, or other causes. If you have ever watched an animal get taken down by a pack of wolves or die from starvation or disease you would see hunting as an incredibly effective and humane way of making the quality of life the animals have much better. Also, do a little research on how that cow or pig (or turkey) you're eating got killed and that will further justify my argument.

As for the redneck comments, that can be true in some cases. However, you can hardly make that kind of a generalization. Unless your definition of a redneck is anybody who has ever weilded a weapon, you can hardly consider everybody who hunts one. Quit making yourselves look stupid and actually say something worthwhile.

Also, for all of you who are against hunting and are not vegetarians, think of the animals you eat. Their entire existence is lived in a cage being fed hormones and bad food in order to make then fat enough to kill for our consumption. If you don't support hunting, chances are you unknowingly support this treatment of captive animals.

In conclusion, think before you say something completely unintelligent that can be backed up by nothing but assumptions and ignorance. Pull your heads out of your asses and come back down to reality.
 
To hunt is one thing. But to be a skilled and successful hunter is another. To anyone that hunts, you know what I'm talking about.
 
I really see no fun in getting up at 3 in the monring to go sit in the fucking woods for hours, waiting to blow the head off of an innocent animal. And it's not just about the killing, it's the fucking lifestyle that I hate. This animosity has grown after all these years of being surrounded by it. Do what you want, but I can still give my opinion...

Just to offer a little fresh opinion on this thread, I'm a vegitarian that thinks that hunting is more respectable than buying meat from a store. Hunting is good because people should see what death is, so they know the true price of what they eat. If I wasn't a vegitarian, I would definitely hunt some of my own meat.

i was waiting for someone to mention that.

altough i do not hunt( i dont like vennison and i get sick cleaning deer, call me a pussy) i do think that theres nothing wrong with it. but just shooting a deer or anyhting is not right. if you shoot it eat it, dont just shoot it for fun.

i kinda lied about not liking vennison because deer sausage is fucking dank! but i just let my grandpa get that shit for me haha
 
Endangered species hunting is my favorite. Yesterday, Black Rhino, tomorrow...Snow Leopard.

The thing I fucking hate about PETA, besides its mentions of the holocaust which are the worst form of propaganda i have ever seen, is that it accepts that animals kill other animals, but says hunting is bad. They say that animals only hunt and kill for their own survivial. But we can feed them, they dont HAVE to kill. Sure, we domesticate them, but thats what we are doing to ourselves. I want to kill and eat something, thats what being a man is all about.

I go bow hunting, mostly for small game. I haved hunted bear, and deer with broad head arrows. Tracking is fucking hard, and it sucks that you can't go back to camp. You pretty much have to stay in the bush all night. But i did catch a 6 point buck before.....it was soo sweet. Been tracking him for like 3 days. But then my brother in law showed up with a 10 pointer that he shot with his 30 odd 6 that day. Made me feel soo sad. Don't have must time to go out though, with the whole living in the city, going to school sort of thing.
 
hunting is not redneck.. im pretty sure humans been hunting for a shit long time... i fly fish for salmon and steelhead. maybe trout here and there...... bird hunting with my shotgun. and when i feel adventours ill covermyself in bear shit and hide in a tree with a bowie knife in my mouth and wait for a bear then drop down for bear figt.... as long as you eat what you kill i think it is fine... now trophy hunters are fuckin worthless pieces of shit.
