Anybody have an adequate knowledge of stereo's?

The explanation.

Aight, so I got a tape player, a cd player, an 8 track,and my computer going into a router. That router goes into the eq. and then that goes into the receiver. The receiver goes into 4 speakers. Also, I have a turntable that goes into the receiver, my vcr going into the receiver and I have another stereo coming out of the receiver that I use for bass.

The problem.

I have this fucking ringing/buzz and it's really fucking annoying. I had it before, when I had the system set up a little different, but I got rid of it by only having my computer go into the one router, as opposed to actually using the router to change between the vcr and computer. But now it's back.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this noise or what is causing it? or was that all too confusing.

it might be the vcr...idk...vcrs make that annoying noise all the time.....it happened with my setup which is similar

are the speaker wires touchign teh power wires or near them? that can cause electrical noise

They possibly are. The vcr wire probably is. I'll redirect it one day.

that's a complicated set up man, haha. "and i've got another stereo that i use for bass", ? get a sub and put that into the output of your first stereo. The more shit you run your sound through, the more distorted it gets

make sure all cables are running the right way with each other. some cables need to run parallel, while others need to run perpendicular from each other so that you dont get interference. reseatrch it.
