Anybody got and tips to help me with my 360's?

As you go off the jump, make your stance wide, get lots of pop and spin, turning your head helps too (Wherever your head points, your body follows.) Then when you get to about 300 start to ease up and look for the landing... Hope that helps!

Bend Your Knees, carve off the lip a little (only if you cant get full rotation), wind up and just throw it, literally throw as hard as you can. It also helps to look the way you are spinning

I know a lot of people that have had this problem. For most of them it was because they were looking down ("spotting their landing") at 180. If you keep looking round (even exaggerate and look up slightly) until you can spot your landing for the full 3.
Hope this makes sense.

i had this problem two seasons ago. What helped me was to 'pop'... this is the part that most new park skiers forget to do. I would try to spin on the jump - this does not work
What I learned to do was to lift my skis at the top of the jump, at the same insant i would tuck them into my chest, so they move with your head and shoulder rotation... but for anyone with this problem its more of trial and error, you have to 'feel it'. but i stress the "pop" part... thats what helped me.

Look over your shoulder, suck your knees in. Once you get them a few times, you can pull them off almost anything.

my biggest problem inthe past was just winding up my arms, wind up your whole body, commit, and keep looking around ujntil you spot your landing

here's a tip. stand up, jump, do a standing three.

that should give you a good idea of how to initiate a spin. you just pop and rotate, starting with your upper body

When I first started 3's I would look really far over my shoulder because I was trying to do them on really small jumps and felt like I had to spin retarded hard to get it around. But in the end all it did was make me get corked and land way backseat or not at all. Then I just started doing slower ones on bigger jumps and not looking over my shoulder very far (just kind of to the side) and its way easier.

My problem on three's just before about 2 weeks ago was that:

1. I would start my rotation on the jump (before popping) which would cause we to fall backwards and either I would land really far back-seat (raping my shins), or landing on my back.

2. The other thing I didn't do was looking over my shoulder the whole entire way, this helps increase the rotation and it would help me get the full rotation every time.

Now, after fixing some of those problems, throwing 3's off jumps that are around 25ish feet are a lot easier.

Remember, pop, and keep turning your head around your shoulder until you can spot your landing. Try them off smaller stuff and then proceed to progress.

just remember your body follows your head. keep lookin for your landing and when you see it your body will be right there

use the searchbar/ trick tip cult/ youtube
wind up look over your shoulder, rotate, and spot your landing. afterbang

this advice is all really good. but one thing that helped me learn it was to clear my mind a bit. if you go into the jump with 1000 things in your head you'll probably stuff it up. just relax and think of no more than two instructions. for me it was "set" and "look", but whatever works for you. popping is important too

Already said a lot but spin with your head. Everything else will follow. The key is to keep looking over your shoulders untill you are all the way around. A lot of beginners kinda panice and automaticly look dow to the landing. Try to aviod doing that. Also make sure that you get some prespin with your body at the lip but dont let your skis start to turn untill you pop off. If the turn to early u will lose all your speed and most likly not make it around or to the landing.

Do a ton of them on the floor in your living room. If you are comfortable with 3's you can do them off the flat while skiing groomers. It's not a long way to go, it just takes practice to ignore going blind.

This is good advice for anything really. Even once you've put the 3 to your feet, think about one (two things max) each time, and stick with that point until you've got it engraved in your muscle memory. Then move on to the next thing.

its not a pretty thing by any stretch of the word, just saying it is possible. on flat ground, not movin,g you huck your body around as you jump and then twist the feet around the rest of the way

if the jump is 30 ft or more, just have a wide stance, keep if balanced, dont wind up to much, just really turn your head and upper body and the rest of your body will follow.

if its a smaller jump, then just huck.

Really? Well Dane can 5...

To the OP, do you have a vid of your efforts? Whilst these suggestions are pretty good, we really need to see what your doing wrong to help you out...

right near the start. but i think it was off a roller rather than on flat ground and even then he only just made it around

Tighten up in your body as you go off the jump! It will help you alot so:

- tighten up your body

- Wide stance

- Pop when the tip of your ski is "over" the jump

-spin right after the pop

- keep spotting your landing

- Land

And here you go Your first 360!

sorry for my bad english

Oh shit I missed that. That was sick though, for what it was it can be called flat ground because the roller was so mellow. Dane is sooo sick

I was having this problem too. What I find helps a lot is to put a decent amount of pressure on your tongues as you pop. When you spin make sure that you throw it parallel to the ground and not the jump.

I think its just cuz i land backseat even when i do 3s off the floor or anything. So i think i will work on landing more forward.

best thing you can do is practice jumping threes barefoot in your room. when you get those, start landing on your toes. (like with your heels off the ground.) cause when you do them off of a jump you'll automatically start doing that. giving you a much cleaner landing. I learned off of a flatground jump I built with my friends: easy landing. goodluck dude

lol cant LJ do flatland frontflips?

3s on flat are really easy, you just jump and huck it hard

to OP, sounds like you need to focus on leading with your shoulders and spotting the landing

Say what you like about it, but it's legit as fuck. And Schlop, how was that edit irrelevant? Check out the first shot; 5 off the smallest roller known to man. The point I was trying to make is that a flatland 3 is totally possible.

Sorry for the dub post, but this thread is starting to digress. OP, post a vid of your 3 and we can help you out more specifically, rather than everyone just offering general advice. I'm not saying that the advice given so far is bad, far from it, they are all good suggestions. But to be successful, you probably only have to change one thing and we need to see what's going on to be able to help.
