Anybody else think the Fischer Jibskate is silly?

thats pretty messed up, but also kinda cool. schools need to get that for cross country skiing in gym.

i love when they show that guy doing the back flip off the jump......i wonder why they cut the landing out ? hahahaha i dunno, just soo fuckin weird

i can NOT see who is going to buy that. Ive seen tele skiers rockin in the park, but they have the good sense to ride hippy stix or something with some waist.

thats the worst idea ive ever seen.

I watched the video and I saw no reason for that ski. every part in that movie was in a terain park made for snowboarders and freestyle skiers. and their taking a ski made for flat areas and adapting it to the park.

Fischer has proved that it is possible to come up with something gayer than snowskating

and just when i thought no one would/could ever come up with something gayer than snowblading... good lord. this sport is going to die faster than the token black guy in a action movie.

^^they're in spandex.. besides, what else do you want to do after a 15k classic race? I know if I was jacked up on energy paste i would really like to throw a rodeo!

i fuckin seen some clowns on fuel TV doing this shit....it was like on project detention......they were doing flips and shit on cross country skis .....pretty wild shit

oh man those are insane!!! i want some now. i will trade my stls for a pair of these if anyone has some

hey they wuold be fun. You can have something like a skate park made out of snow, being flat. You could skatre ski over to a rail on flat and hit it.

i find it really funny that it mentions how this ski suits nordic skiers.

it does. purely because of our wonderfully developed skiing traditions.

dont think of it as an alternative to twin tips.

think of it as an inovation in cross country ski design which will finally motivate little johnny to come on the easter trips with his parents.

im getting them.

how the hell do you get them to norway?

HOLY SHIT, SO MY MOM USED TO CROSS COUNTRY RACE, AND I WHENT TO A RACE WITH HER AND THE JIBSKATE WAS HAVING A TOUR OR SOME SHIT, AND I TRIED THEM OUT. IN THE VIDEO, THE KID AT THE END WITH THE BROWN PANTS IS ME!!!!AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

ALSO, THEY WERE LIKE, CAN WE SPONSER YOU, AND I WAS LIKE HELL NO..HAHAHAHHAHAHA I CANT BELIVE I AM IN IT HAHAHAHAAHHAH!!!

if this was a joke, it would be reakin funny, but the fact that it isnt, makes it even more funny...

i wonder if theyre any good in pow?

its a great idea!

now anyone that wants to ski xc, jib in the park, and have a perfectly sized ski to ram up your butt afterward has one.

there is a huge market for this.

When these were coming out last year it was more of an idea that they would not be used in downhill parks but xc areas would have small parks. They had the idea that there would be a 5k loop or something and everyonce in a while there would be a rail or a jump.

I think it;s not a bad idea, when I was on the xc team i broke a pair jumping around on them so these could be great for the right people. Obviously not most of you.

check out my sweet new background. now that is some sweet air!

I think its a good concept. Its skiings response to the snowskate. Now you can do urbans without drop ins. A flat terrain park would prolly be mainy just jibs would be pretty cool. I think it'd be cool to try so that u dont have to hike the lift each time.

i'm not gunna lie i bashed the shit out of this a year ago, but now that I decided I was going to start skiin xc to stay in shape for racing my bike downhill in the summers i ordered a pair of these so i could at least have some fun with it, i'll let you know how it goes.

it seems like it can revive cc skiing, maybe more people will go cc in the future just because they have the possibility to go into the park now and then, while having a good workout.

"the first "cross-country back country ski""

--> just FYI, this is a pretty legit category already. Seehttp://madshus.com/skis?category=backcountry

Really good tools for certain type of Nordic / rolling terrain. I guess these kind of skis are also pretty popular in East Coast USA (Vermont, Maine)

Just throw in a pair of three pin bindings and you're set to go exploring...

As for the jibskate...I guess it is just a ski. Light telemark gear would do all the same and you can ditch the spandex :)

When I was a lil gaffer my mom bought my siblings and I cross country skis, I tried to do tricks on them in the backyard.

That's all.

Do'h. Fuck me indeed.

I never look the date of threads (note to self: do it from now on...:))

The "trend" of bumbing years old threads is pretty silly anyway.

So, go on...nothing to see here. Just a stupid old fart that tried to play smart-ass...:)
