Anybody else shocked by NS members in real life?

there's this one kid named adrian who skis my mountain, i met him on ns...well, needless to say since I met him on ns i thought he was more than likely a professional skier, because I know I am, welllll anywho he spends most of his time playing world of warcraft.

he's got red hair too, that was a shocker.
 
I haven't met anyone active in the forums yet (and I don't thik I'd want to meet any of you anyways) but I have met a couple kids off NS before. I didn't really expect them to be like anything though because I hadn't seen them posting frequently in here and such, it was just ilke meeting a new person.

But I know what you mean, you get an idea of who someone is through reading their posts and stuff but when you meet them they're not who you expected at all.

I met Calb3rt (formerly Allornothing) at summer camp. I must say he is one of the silliest people I know.

Mizz Sarah Oats is really tight too. If only she wasnt brokeback(litteraly) so that we could shralp it :(
 
i think it's just ridiculous people take that post count soo seriously

and you probably think i'm saying that because my account says i joined last year, and i don't even have 100 posts,

but i joined back in '04 on xxroseskixx, and for some reason ns reset my post account so i just got a new account.

i just think people shouldn't take that number soo seriously.
 
i met some kids up at the river the other day. i forget there usernames. i think one of em was named sam though.
 
I've mostly only been happily surprised by the NS Members I've met. Like meeting MC, one of the coolest chicks ever. Andy, one of the most tech saavy NS'ers ever and one funny mofo. Of course then theres Garvey and Paul, 2 hilarious motherfucker that I wish I still saw around. I met Becca and she kills it harder than most of the guys I've met from NS, so I spose that shocked me. Girl kills it. So I think I've only been positively shocked.
 
I think I met Pussyfooter when I was in Montana. Either way, I got into an arguement with some jibbers on the lift back when I was a racer. they called me a gate-raper :(

yeh stowebum for sure. when i first came on ns i thought he was like 18 19 at least...goes to show you how deceiving the internet can be...
 
this has made me realize that i need to bring up NS in conversation, because i've ridden up with at least 50 different skiers at keystone this past week alone, and that never seems to come up. wierd

then why is she wasting her life on the internet. she should be out learning to share her barbies, making friends, and not being a total brat.
 
I've only met maybe three people off this site, I ski at Kicking horse and Fernie mainly and nobody else skis there so I guess that why...
 
That's why you probably shouldn't judge by post count. But I do know what you mean you see the guys that have been on the site forever and expect them to be these 20+ people. Another thing I've noticed (in myself also) is that people are way different in person than they are on NS. I've been trying to change that and be more myself on here recently
 
I ski at fernie alot. well, it used to be alot, not too much anymore because work doesnt let me.
 
I dunno, but not too many guys get laid by 14. Heck, I only just learned to jerk off at 12.
 
such a valid point, the amount of nsers that i have met is up there, far to many for me to list and i need to take a shower.
