Anybody else have this ski patrol proplem?

Most...but not all of schweitze'rs patrol... A couple days ago I was skiing from the park down to the basin quad, respecting the slow sign before the lift and slowly going through the gates. Another kid near me ducked the fence, and when I got into the lift line a ski patrol cut me off and started telling me he was going to take my pass if he ever saw me duck a fence again. I tried for several minutes to explain to him that I had not ducked a fence, but he was not about to accept the fact that he was wrong. He just kept sitting there holding up the line telling me he watched me duck the fence, then I would respectfully tell him I did not do it. This went on for probably 5 minutes in the front of the lift line, until my friend, who had also not done it goes, "ya it was me" thinking he was going to be funny. Then the guy yelled at my friend, but then my friend told him it actually wasnt him either...this didnt have the patrol any more happy...so then we tried to get on the lift, when he threatened to clip our passes for "our attitudes". Honestly, we -at least I- was being very respectful but the guy was on some prick power trip I guess. What ever though. Ive had all good experiences with them except for that

I've had some pretty damn good conversations with patrollers, one even led to me skiing with a couple of them for the day at Squaw.

No I understood, patrollers at your small hill treat their job like it's a big deal and they're saving lives on a daily basis, like patrollers at a major resort like Whistler/Blackcomb. I was just pointing out that most patrollers at big resorts are in fact not the way they're portrayed to be, and really only care about the things I pointed out in the previous post I made.

I dont think ski patrollers are bad, they are usually just the messenger. and I have a gun.

That's ridiculous. That's one of the worst areas too--there and on the Great Divide. Most of the patrollers I've talked to or seen this season have been great, but the Mountain Safety people... and the some of the other new employees too... have been doing things like this. I also keep getting comments from them that make it clear that they think I have no idea what I'm doing. And the ticket checkers have been going crazy too. They honestly spent about five minutes trying to scan my pass while there were empty chairs going up. I mean, come on. The veteran employees will usually just say "beep" and act as if it scanned when that happens. It's frustrating. /rant
